Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Visitation on Thursday October 27th from 3pm to 5pm followed by a Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 5pm. Interment has taken place at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted for Ed’s House Hospice Cobourg or Clarington Hospice.

Beloved wife of the late Vic Cummings (1983).

Will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Patti (Doug), Lori (Sue), Scott, Jaime (Lisa), Dean (Rosemary), Kwynne (Andrew), Chrisanne (Steve), Melody (Chris), Ashley and the late Jeffrey; her great grandchildren, Tyler (Lindsey), Megan (Aaron), Alyssa, Nick, Bella, Adam (Olivia), Devon, Braydon (Rianne), Mason, Ethyn, Tanner, Phoebe, Kalem, Nolan, Aria, David (Janya), Tyler, Jena and Lucia; and her 2 great great grandchildren Elizabeth and Jaxon.

Predeceased by her parents Emery and Selina Smith, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Ena had a long and happy life and celebrated her 102nd birthday this year. She cherished her husband and children and their families. She enjoyed holidays and special times with her siblings for many years.

Ena moved to Toronto from Nova Scotia in 1946 and adored living there until 1995 when she moved to Whitby to be closer to family and spent the last years at Glen Hill Terrace, Whitby.

Visitation will be held at Faithway Baptist Church, 1964 Salem Road, Ajax (at Taunton Road) on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Reception to follow in the Church Fellowship Hall. Cremation.

Ada was predeceased by her loving husband Gioacchino and much-loved mother of Carmelucia (Deceased), Tony (Dana), Lorella (Winston -Deceased), Marcello (Christina) and Carmela.

Cherished Nonna of eight grandchildren: Kristy (Ashton), Ashley, Jeffrey, Jessica, Chelsea (Michael), Justin, Joey (Katie)and Caleb; three step-grandchildren: Camille, Maria (Ian), Sean (Michelle); and eleven great grandchildren: Mya, Lorelai, Noah, Rosaria, Aria (Deceased), Austin (Deceased), Adeline, Carmelo, Easton, Avery, Emilia, Senna and Everly.

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday October 16th, 2022 at the age of 56 years.

Beloved husband of Deanna Kearns.

Loving father of Brittany Nelson (Connor Power) and grandpa of Peyton.

Lovingly remembered by his step-sons Corey Kearns and Kyle Kearns and step-granddaughter Skylar.

Pappy is survived by his sister Vivian and step-mother Heather Nelson.

He is predeceased by his father, Lloyd, mother Arline and brother Lloyd Jr.

Dear son in law to Douglas Johnston (the late Kathleen Johnston) and brother in law to Michelle Burns and Daniel Johnston.

He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Pappy was a well loved man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially around the campfire at the trailer.

He was a hard worker and a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan!!

A Celebration of Pappy’s life will be held at a later date.

After a long battle with cancer, Angela passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side, on Friday October 14, 2022 at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital, at age 57.

Daughter of the late Jim and Brenda Cushing.

Dearly loved wife of Mark, with whom she would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, October 18th. Loving mother of Gwen and Hayden. Dear sister of Wendy Drake and Greg Cushing.

Loved daughter–in–law of Rudi and Narney Kramer. Angela was a hard-working graduate of the University of Western Ontario (Kings College).

She dedicated her life to her family, and was very passionate about her work.

Passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Extendicare Port Hope, at the age of 89.

Married for 66 years to her devoted husband John, who passed away in 2013.

Mother of Kevin (Paula Farrell), Miriam (Tom Hart) and Conor (Lisa Priestap).

Grandmother of Daniel, Caitlin, Kelsey; Matthew, Madeline; Beckett, Jameson and Marlow.

Great-grandmother of Kingsley, Rawley, Arlo and Aurora.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, to Michael (Mick) Byrne and Mary Slevin.

Survived by loving sister Sheila Sherlock.

Predeceased by brothers Brian, Martin, Brendan, and sister Dymphna Malone.

Angela and John emigrated to Canada in 1967, driven to provide better opportunities for their children.

As a child, Angela won a scholarship to the Gaelic language schools.

She believed education was the best way to improve the quality of life for her children.

Angela was proud to work as Teacher Personnel Officer at the Catholic Education Centre for 25 years where her faith and work aligned. Angela lived her Catholic faith and her beliefs guided her life.

All three of her children had careers in the education field influenced by her values and support.

Angela was a member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Thomas Moore parish in Scarborough, and at St. Joseph the Worker in Oshawa. Angela will be missed by her beloved furry friend Shy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, with interment following at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

We acknowledge the excellent care provided by the staff at Extendicare Port Hope (thank you Annette and Dean).

A special thank you to Ron Facciol, Mike & Lisa Sladeczek, for your support during this time. We are grateful that Paula came into our family and Angela’s life to help us navigate with love and respect these last six years.

It is with deep sadness and shock that we announce the passing of Aiden William Hulshof, age 16, tragically in a motor vehicle accident.

Aiden was passionate about farming, friends, family, and life. His smile was contagious and felt by many. He made friends wherever he went.

Aiden loved the Markham Fair and had just had the best weekend volunteering everywhere and anywhere he could. There wasn't a job Aiden couldn't do.

Aiden will be dearly missed by his Parents Bryant and Lori, his brother Tyler and his sister Emily of Sandford, Ontario. He was loved by his grandparents Don and Debbie Howard and Paul and Thea Hulshof.

He was a beloved nephew to Mike and Melodie Howard, Michelle Hulshof, Natalie Hulshof, and Brad and Lieke Hulshof. He was loved by his cousins Madeline and Ben Howard, and Johanna, Oliver, Ethan, and Ophelia Hulshof, who will miss playing hockey, playing with his large collection of toy tractors, and going for tractor or snowmobile rides with Aiden.

Aiden was known throughout the agricultural community, Uxbridge Fair, Markham Fair, 4-H, Hockey, and Uxbridge Secondary School. Aiden made time for everyone, and had a genuine heart of gold. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Donations can be made to 4-H Ontario or Markham Fair - in honour of Aiden Hulshof.

Community funeral for Aiden Hulshof will take place at the Markham Fair Grounds, 10801 McCowan Road, Markham on Tuesday, October 11th at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Friends and Family will join in a burial service on Wednesday, October 12 at 10 am at the Sandford Cemetery.

Tony Rainford passed away peacefully in Ajax on October 2nd.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Jean, daughter Nicole and husband Angelo, son Marc and partner Gabby, his grandchildren Sandra (Roxi), Selena, Vivian and his brothers Robert and Richard.

Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He is resting peacefully with his father Alvin and mother Hyacinth.

Thank you to the team at Viva Retirement Residence and Lakeridge Ajax Pickering hospital for their care and kindness.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 11th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. We will celebrate his life on Wednesday, October 12th at 2 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior.
