September 11, 1936 – October 21, 2021
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on Thursday October 21st at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa.
Patricia was born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 11th 1936, the ninth of twelve children, to Theresa (Tessie Mac) and Jimmy Doyle.
At 18 she worked as an office manager where she met the tenacious young man who would become her husband and the love of her life, Kevin Kelly.
They were married for 63 years.
Pat and Kevin along with their first son Kevin James, immigrated to Oshawa in 1959 where they lived and worked and had three more children, Kathleen, Michael and John.
Kevin and Pat were the successful owners of the Tartan Tavern for over 40 years where the Kelly Family often performed.
Pat sang and danced, clogging to the Irish music and pleasing crowds with her love of life and her most famous move, kicking her foot over her head.
Patricia was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother to Kevin and Karen and their daughters Jacqueline and Emma, Kathleen and Mark and their children, Shannon, Connor and Quinn, Michael and Brenda and their children Olivia and Sean and John and Jill and their girls, Devyn, Julia and Grace.
She once said if she knew how much she loved her grandchildren she would have had them first. The last of her family, Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
Her tenacious spirit and her legacy continues in her five great grandchildren, Beckham and Molly, the twins, Harper and Rowan and the newest addition Kruz.

July 16th, 1958 - Sunday, October 10th, 2021
It is with great heartache we inform you of the sudden passing of Peter McNeil on October 10, at the age of 63.
He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 33 years, Linda, and his son, Peter (PJ), who he could not be prouder of, or love more.
Peter was preceded in death by his mother, Beryl Cameron, and his brother, Jeff McNeil.
He is survived by his 2 brothers James McNeil (Lynn), Mark McNeil (Pat), 3 sisters Jacquie Burke (Bob), Christine McNeil (Keith), Suzanne Crease (Mark), as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Peter loved his family very much and spending quiet time with them was the most important thing to him.
He enjoyed nothing better than watching Jeopardy at the end of the day, and having a cup of tea.
However, nothing could beat a game of football when the Hamilton Tiger Cats were playing (especially if they beat the dreaded Argos!) or baseball if it was the Blue Jays.
Peter was also an avid golfer, very social and could talk with anyone.
He took these qualities and his love for the sport, and made them into a life-long career. He was a very talented golf teacher at numerous ranges throughout Durham, his last being at Golfers’ Dream.
Peter was very adept at analyzing golf swings and there was not anyone who did not benefit from his instruction.
Peter taught hundreds of students to love the game, and was selected by them as the Readers’ Choice Diamond Award Winner. He loved being outside in the sun and the beautiful landscape, and would often share pictures on Facebook of his ‘office’.
Peter also was a very talented painter/artist in the off season, and would spend hours meticulously perfecting a painting. Although he sold a few, he mainly painted for enjoyment.
He also enjoyed listening to music, and singing his favourite songs. We are left in deep grief with his sudden passing.
We will always cherish the wonderful memories and blessings that Peter has left us. He will be deeply missed, but remembered with much love.
In memory of Peter, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
