Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday June 11, 2021, at the age of 76.
Beloved wife of Gerry for 52 years, loving mother of Jennifer and Chris (Julie), devoted grandma of Emma and Quinn, sister of Susan Long (Gary) and Bob Hudson (Theresa).
Predeceased by her parents Sally and George Hudson.
Pat will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Canada, England, and Australia.
Pat taught English for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (Delta HS and Churchill HS) and the Durham District School Board (McLaughlin Collegiate and DASS).
She was an active volunteer in St. Gertrude’s Parish, Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Catholic Family Services, and Rose of Durham and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League.
Special thanks to Dr. Marcoux and Julie, Dr. Granton and TGH staff, and the Critical Care Unit in Oshawa for taking care of Pat.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, 17 July 1956
Passed on 9 June 2021, at home (suddenly, unexpectedly, and tragically).
Peter's wife, Mary (née Williams) will be forever holding him in her heart, predeceased by his father (Owen A. Duffy), and sadly missed by his mother, June Duffy, Peter's absence will be felt by many friends, and his brothers and sisters: Owen (Vivian), Caroline (John), June (Dave), Michael (Dee), Sean.
Peter's children will remember his lessons on life, love, work, ethics, and giving: Deirdre (Jay), Ben, Mike (Chantelle), James (Ava), Alex/Megan (Rhys), Liam (Sydney), Niall (supported by Althea).
His many nieces, nephews, and their partners and children: Kevin, Nicole, Christina, Brenden, Michelle, Allison, Connor, Sydney.
His grandchildren: Tristan, Lina, Aodhan, Savannah, Cash, Quinn, Benjamin, Ellanora, Lyanna.
He was the primary carer for his mother-in-law, Janet Williams whom he has been providing support with increasing intensity.
His presence will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins both here, in Ireland and in the UK. Born in the land he always considered his true home, Peter moved to Canada in 1969. He grew up in and around Durham Region, did his Masters Degree in Social Work at York University.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, devoted Manchester United fan, he was voted one of the top three marriage counsellors with his practice, Duffy Counselling Services.
He enjoyed golf (he got that elusive Hole in One!!); his past times also including playing guitar, walking his dog, Fionn, adding detail to his carefully crafted train set up in the garage - and most recently, stuck in the house, he'd spend time 'puzzling', although he liked to be busy whenever possible.
He loved camping, it was his solace.
He was a brilliant example what a friend, father, husband, son, cousin, and uncle should be. A decent, kind and loving man who gave "the best hugs". He was devoted to his family, to helping others, to giving his time and energy to others. He was a bright force of goodness in this world. His family was everything to him. his friends an added bonus. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2pm.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Patricia Ann Gambrill; a kind and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who entered into rest on June 7, 2021 in her 90th year.
Pat leaves, to cherish her memory, her loving husband Paul, of 40 years.
She will be sadly missed by her son Larry McQuoid and his wife Wendy.
Lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren, Johnathan (Erin), Ryan (Lauren) and Derek, and her four great grandchildren Ella, Ethan, Zoey and Emmett.
Pat is predeceased by her first husband, Arden McQuoid (1978) and her brother, Donald Howe (1987). Pat will be remembered for her great sense of humor, generosity, and unfailing love.

57, of Whitby, Ontario, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 27, 2021, after a five-year battle with cancer.
He was promoted to Glory and is now enjoying being in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Philip was surrounded by his loving wife, son, family and friends at the time of his passing.
Philip was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica on June 23, 1963 to Ken Burton and the late Pansy Burton.
He immigrated to Canada at the age of 7 with his parents and siblings.
He was married to Ava for 32 wonderful years and had one son, Joshua.
He worked as a bus driver for the Toronto Transit Commission for 30 years.
As a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Philip loved to read his bible, praying for and with others.
He enjoyed singing, cycling and wood working and most of all spending time with his wife.
He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects around the house.
He was also actively involved in maintaining a high level of fitness and consistently worked out in the gym.
He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, father, and friend, always thinking of others first.
Philip is survived by his wife, Ava; his son, Joshua; three sisters, Debbie, Anne and Nea; his father, Ken; and many members of the Grant/Burton/Pryce/Noble families and friends.
He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, father, and friend.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Philip’s final scripture verse he shared with Ava prior to his passing was:

After a long illness, Peter passed away at home on May 16, 2021 peacefully, surrounded by people he loved.
During his life, Pete didn't build buildings or create new businesses, but more important to him, he left a legacy of honesty and strong family values.
He had unconditional love and pride in the achievements of his two boys and 4 grandchildren.
Married to Gale for 45 years, she and Peter shared a relationship that was a source of support and mutual caring that was the envy of many.
He was a special Papa to Adrian, Gavin, Madelyn and Ally who were the center of his life and with whom he created many wonderful memories. They will miss him greatly.
After he retired from the Durham Regional Police, Peter had many interests and hobbies.
He was an avid reader of both the Globe and Mail and Rex Murphy's National Post column and delighted in passing on news items to his siblings He shared a fascination of military history with his brother John and together with their sons they attended many air shows as well as enjoying their little English sport cars.
Painting became a new interest and revealed a new talent we didn't know he had.
For many years, Peter was a member of Kinsmen club of Oshawa where he spent many year providing community service.
Besides many friends, Peter is survived by his wife Gale, sons, Matthew (Natalie) and Dan, (Aimee) Grandchildren Gavin, Adrian, Madelyn and Ally. Growing up in a big family, he leaves siblings, Leslie, Jane, John, Mary Ellen, Andrew and Elizabeth as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister Allison.
The world has lost a special person and he will be missed by numerous people who loved him.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter, son and sister who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Kamini was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was born in Trinidad, and married the love of her life Prem at a young age.
Together they had 2 children, Danny and Diana.
Kamini loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family, especially her grandchildren, Zayden, Aaron and Katelyn.
She loved travelling to Trinidad to see many of her loving cousins, aunts and uncles, and brother Rana.
A Viewing is scheduled for Saturday May 15th, 2021 at Ajax Crematorium, with a Funeral to follow on Sunday May 16th, 2021. Pundit Vishnu Mishra will officiate the ceremony and prayers.

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Madeline Towner (nee Grainger) announces her passing on May 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in her final days.
Patricia fought a short, but courageous battle with Cancer.
Patricia was born in Toronto, on June 7, 1940, and is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Edward Towner. Patricia and her husband Ted made Newcastle their home back in 1968, and have remained in Durham.
Patricia was a born again Christian, and was a member at the Gospel Hall in Oshawa and Pine Ridge Bible Chapel in Courtice. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School to the children, working with other members of the church to prepare packages for the missionaries. She loved honouring the Lord in all ways.
She was a kind, and selfless person, family was of utmost importance, she enjoyed gardening and had a love for cooking and baking.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Kim Leary and husband Clark, her two granddaughters Danielle Gooch, Rebecca Gooch and her spouse Kyle Walker, and three great granddaughters Ryleigh, Annabella and Scarlett.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warner and Phillip Grainger. She will be fondly remembered by her Nieces, Nephews and many dear friends.
There will be a graveside service (due to restrictions) Patricia's final resting place will be at Union Cemetery in Cobourg.
