Terence Alan (Terry) Hood
Died peacefully at Port Perry Hospital on Saturday, June 1, 2019.Terry worked in the grocery business all his life at all the major chains, most of which he outlived.He is survived by his loving wife Joan, son Alan and daughter Libbi, as well as his daughter-in-law Lisa and granddaughter Emma Jade, the light of his life, and his son-in-law Daniel Cullen. At Terry’s request there will be no funeral, but donations in his memory to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or Oak Ridges Hospice of Durham are appreciated.

April 29, 1980 – May 26, 2019 Suddenly, on Sunday May 26th, 2019 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 40th year.Loving father of Regina and Kiyara.Beloved son of Blondell (Kelvin). Attended by her father, brother, friend Deanna & her boys, Tammy entered into a rest that life never afforded her, while holding Paul’s hand on Monday May 20th, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the young age of 48. Beloved wife of Paul Scammell and loving mother to Ben & Jacob. She was the cherished daughter of Dan & Rosemary Rankin and dear sister of Tanya, Dan (Roberta) and James. Dear daughter in law of Marilyn & the late Al Scammell and sister in law of Steve (Lisa). Tammy had many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues who will love her always. Tammy was employed by Durham Region for 27 years, first as a Social Service Worker at Hillsdale Long Term Care, then the final 9 years she worked in partnership with Durham Region Police as a Senior Safety Advisor. The tireless service she gave to the many seniors over the years did not go unnoticed. She was the recipient of the Ontario Medal for Citizenship, the Victim Services Award of Distinction for the Attorney General and most recently the Celebration of Courage Award from Denise House. Her dedication to others was a lifelong trait, earning her the Terry Fox Scholarship Alumni Award in high school. She impacted the lives of many, and to all who knew her she will be lovingly remembered. A Celebration of Tammy’s Life will be held at ST. JOHN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 11 Temperance Street on Saturday May 25th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to a Memorial Fund for Ben & Jacob’s future.

March 10, 1955 - April 18, 2019Husband to Sue, Dad to Tim (Felicia) and Caitlin, Brother to Eileen, Maureen (John), Molly (Owen), Michael (Kathie), and the late D’Arcy (Lucy).Uncle to Kellie, Ryan, James, Kathleen, and Shannon. Friend of many.Terry left us on April 18, after an almost two year battle with metastatic melanoma. Talented finger style guitarist, photographer, financial planner, and most recently, booker for several very talented musical acts.He was an avid cyclist and valued having long conversations over a good beer.“Never let the truth get in the way of a good story” was something her often told his family with a wry smile over the dinner table. Taylor showed tremendous strength and courage over the last 10 years. He will be remembered as a kind, loving person, one who was never to sit idle. Whether it was playing lacrosse, fishing, helping others, adding to his collections or simply being outside.His talents were extensive, he was especially mastered at re-stringing lacrosse sticks and devouring the hottest of wing sauces.
