WILSON, Gavin Guy  -
2-Nov-1948 - 10-Aug-2024

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gavin Arneil Wilson (Guy) of Oshawa, Ontario in his 75th year left us for his heavenly home on August 10, 2024 after a lengthy battle of Lewy Body Dementia.

Guy was born in Oshawa on Nov 2, 1948 to the late John Wilson & Edna (Fisher).

Guy was a man of great faith, checking off his list of answered prayer, he was the quiet silent type with a dry sense of humour, a die-hard leaf fan, enjoyed donating to his pro line ticket fund, watched John Wayne movies & loved his Tim Hortons double cream coffee. He worked for Sklar-Peppler & Rockbrune Brothers. Oh, the stories he would tell of the adventures days on the road moving.

Guy’s nick name was The Rock’ due to his amazing strength. He was always the first to be volunteered to help moving his family & friends.

Guy will be loving remembered by his wife Marion. ‘Guy, it ain’t over till it’s over, see ya on the other side!’

He is survived by his stepdaughter Sheryl Altvater, stepson David Stokes; grandson Dakota Stokes and great grandson Xavier Rose Baker; sister-in-law Lorraine Reznak (Joe), brother-in-law Archie Langille, sisters Heather Rozon and Donna Wilson and brothers Jim and Doug (Linda). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

He is pre-deceased by his brothers Robert, Allan, John, and Arthur; sisters Jean, Jacqueline, and Faith; sister-in-law Ruth Langille, mother-in-law Ida LeBlanc, father-in-law Leo LeBlanc, son-in-law Wally Altvater and grandson Bradley Baker.

Many thanks go out for the excellent care by Dr. Kwok, Administration staff, Nurses, and PSW’s at Streamway Villa in Cobourg, Ontario where Gavin resided since October 2020. Rumour has it that he was totally a ladies man & quite the dancer.

A Celebration of Life will take place at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY on Monday, August 19 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with the reception being held in the lounge.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated by the family.

WILDS, Daniel James Ross Wilds  -  Superman
I'm very saddened to inform all that knew Danny and anyone who's life he touched, that he's moved on to his next great adventure.

Danny passed away peacefully at home yesterday, on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, which was his greatest wish, with myself and his fur son Bobo by his side.

Danny was my life partner for 18 years and because I'm so very proud of him that I want to take this opportunity to share a little part of his nobility and strength.

Danny had many serious ailments that he lived with, but that never stopped him from trying to live his life to it's fullest.

These ailments cost Danny his mobility but that never stopped his stories, his humor, wit, charm and smile. Danny was hospitalized over 3 months ago, survived being on ventilator 3 times, amazed the staff and beat the odds of those who doubted he would survive past being on life support the 1st time.

You would often see this great warrior on ventilator, no pain meds, no sedation sat up in bed on his tablet playing games or watching a movie.

He was even the backbone to myself when he was told he had inoperable advanced bladder cancer. He did not bat an eye, other then to tell me he did not want me to cry.

The only thoughts he had was to be with his loved ones, eat good food and watch great entertainment and survive long enough to come and pass away in his safe place, home. My heartfelt wish for him came true, he made it home, got to eat some of his favorite foods, watch some of his favorite shows, tell people he loved them and be loved in his own home, on his own terms.

Danny passed as he lived, a smile on his face and love in his heart. I often called him Clark Kent, but to me, he was my superman. I'll never regret the day he stepped thru my door and into my life.

I'll love you forever, I'll remember you forever and you will always be a part of me.

The world lost a light, but the sky gained a Star. Shine on my Mr. Dan.  xo .
