Peacefully on Thursday March 18, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 70.

Pera, loved father of Radovan Ninkovic Hernandez (Silvia Gimenez) and grandfather of Marco and Lucia.

Dear brother of Emilija, Ljilja, Radmila, Andjelka, Natasa, Slavica, Mira and Luka.

Uncle of Diana, Aleksandar, Nemanja, Mirjana and Igor.

Peter will be missed by all his friends in Oshawa and by his family.

A private Orthodox funeral has been held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME with interment at Oshawa Union Cemetery in Oshawa.

(68) It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on March 8, 2021 after a long battle with Renal cancer and other health issues.

Pat was a wonderful father to his daughter Kelly Provis (Paul), grandson Brandon and will be greatly missed.

He also leaves behind his sister Noreen Farrar (Paul), sister Marie, brother John, his niece and nephews, and his lifelong friend Wayne Thompson.

Pat was a lover of movies and music and he also had a great sense of humour.

We will have many wonderful memories that will keep him in our hearts.

We would like to thank the Tony Stacey Centre for Veterans Care for the assistance provided over the last year and a half, and the Scarborough Health Network – Centenary Hospital (8 East – Doctors & nurses) for their care and support in his last few weeks of life.

Peter passed away suddenly, at the Lakeridge Oshawa General Hospital, on February 14, 2021, in his 81st year.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary in 2018 and survived by his stepchildren Andrew Tracey (Yvonne), Karen Campbell and her children James and Richelle.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends both in Canada and the UK.

The youngest of 9 children he was born in the Greater Manchester Area of Lancashire.

He was a regular soldier in the British Army serving firstly in the Grenadier Guards and then the Royal Military Police.

Always extremely proud of his service this showed through both his character and his military bearing.

A member of the North American Branch of the RMP Association where he will be missed.

He and Mary moved to Canada in 1988 and he became employed in the security industry retiring from The Toronto Star in 2005.

Donations may be made, if desired, to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

A memorial will be held at a later date when permitted.
