With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of our beloved partner, father, papa, and friend, Douglas Arthur Teeple, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 75 years old.
Though his passing was unexpected, Doug lived a busy and full life surrounded by friends, travel, and social clubs. He remained relatively healthy until his last day and did not suffer. Doug now joins his late wife, Alana (predeceased 21 years), and other family and friends in their everlasting heavenly home.
He will be fondly remembered by his partner Brenda, his children Denise (Sam) and Brian (Heather), his grandchildren Kirsten and Jayden, and his many friends and past colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.

Colin Miller passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the age of 79. He was a loving father to Robert (Kim) and Kirsten (Shelly) and a cherished grandfather to Leigha, Lauren, Austin, Sara, Jackson, Stevie, Rylan, and Jaiden. He was also a great-grandfather to Evie and Myles. Colin is survived by his sister Judy and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerry Baguley, who peacefully departed on September 25, 2024, at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 26, 1949, Gerry leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Evelyn. He was a cherished father to Keith (and partner Derek) and Kevin. Gerry’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A celebration of Gerry's life will take place at his home in Beaverton (432 Dundas St. Beaverton) on Saturday, October 5th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. All who knew and loved him are invited to join in honoring his memory during this special gathering. MORRISON, Phyllis Mae Morrison

Phyllis Mae Morrison, aged 88 years, was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Morrison and a cherished mother to her children, the late Lonnie, Doug, Lee (the late Carol), Kevin, Cheryl (Ross Myers), Luanne, and honorary daughter Tiffany. She was a loving grandmother to Amy, Josh, Amanda, Charmaine, Lacey, Madalin, Jessica, Jessy, and Chris, and a devoted "Ge-Ge" to her eight great-grandchildren. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, from 2-4 pm at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, located at 53 Division Street, Bowmanville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
SYLVESTERVICH, John Sylvestervich - December 2, 1937 – September 24, 2024
John passed away peacefully at home, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Anna (née Kawchuk) & John Sylvestervich Sr., John leaves behind the love of his life, Gail (née Williams), his children, Andrea (Robert), Paul (Dorota) and Krista (Jason), and his much loved grandchildren, Heather, Daphne, Jonathan, Liam and Tegan.
Born in Val d’Or, Quebec, John moved with his parents to Ontario, where they lived in various farming communities. Following his graduation from McMaster University, John commenced his teaching career at Henry St. high school, where he met his wife, Gail. A passionate educator, John made a positive impact on so many lives through his teaching, his work as a Vice-Principal, and later Principal, and as a champion for using new technologies in education. His love of computers was life-long, and he was always happy to help anyone in need of his expertise. John was a very active member of Faith United Church, and spent many years sharing his time and talents there. His last few years were spent caring for his wife, Gail, and enjoying time with his family.
The family would like to express their appreciation to John’s care team, who helped so much during his cancer journey.

A funeral service will be held at Faith United Church, 1778 Nash Rd., Courtice, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30pm, with the funeral at 1:30pm, and a reception to follow.
