July 25, 1938 - September 18, 2016Born July 25th, 1938 in Toronto, Tom “Mitch” passed peacefully at home in his 78th year, after dealing with many health issues. He was surrounded by the love of his daughter Debbie, son David and private caregiver Armi. A loving, loyal and caring husband, father and friend he will forever be remembered for his kind heart and generosity.Pre deceased by wife Sharon, sisters Doris and Irene, brothers Dave, Harry and Bobby as well as several dear friends.Survived and missed by nephew Steven, wife Augusta and grandchildren, many family members especially Lynne and Harry and an abundance of friends especially Rick, Sandi, Jack, Gord, Bruce, Pat and Phil. In facing life challenges he always displayed tremendous courage and grace, never complaining of the difficulties. Tom most enjoyed social gatherings and parties with family and friends and over the years organizing events along with volunteering countless hours to the sport of hockey, baseball and boxing.Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Saturday, October 15th, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.Memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care.
