MORRISSEY, Dwayne Patrick Morrissley -
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Dwayne Morrissey, on August 14, 2024.
Dwayne was a man of exceptional character, whose kindness, love, and hard work touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Dwayne was a man who lived by the values he cherished most—family, loyalty, and integrity. He took immense pride in a hard and honest day's work, always approaching every task with dedication and a sincere desire to do his best.
Yet, as much as he valued his work, it was his family that truly held his heart.
The bond he shared with his daughter, Summer, was one of profound love and connection, and his family meant the world to him. Known for his boundless compassion, Dwayne was the kind of person who radiated warmth and care.
His generous spirit and kind heart were evident in everything he did, whether he was offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him most. He had an uncanny ability to make the tough times a little easier, and his sense of humor and positive outlook brought light to even the darkest moments.
Dwayne's talents were many, and he was a master at everything he put his mind to. His ability to fix anything and everything made him the go-to person for friends, family, and customers alike. But more than his skills, it was his character—his willingness to give the shirt off his back if it meant helping someone—that truly defined him.
Dwayne is survived by his loving daughter, Summer; his mother, Heather; his brother, David; his brother-in-law, Kevin; and Julianne. He was recently predeceased by his sister, Deb, and his father, Andy. Though he has left this world, the love and memories he created with those closest to him will live on forever.
As we mourn the loss of such a remarkable man, we invite all who knew Dwayne to share their thoughts, condolences, and treasured memories. Let us come together to bring comfort to his family and friends, knowing just how loved and admired he was.
Our deepest condolences go out to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Dwayne Morrissey. May his bright spirit, unwavering kindness, and infectious humor continue to inspire us all.
A visitation for Dwayne will be held Thursday, August 29 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 PM.

MORLEY, Hilda “Rae” (nee Mellor) Morley - cherished daughter of Ethel Mellor (nee Jones) and Sampson Mellor, passed away suddenly on August 23rd in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of George Charles Morley for 32 years.
Proud Mum of Craig Young, Laura Murray and Lynda Burnett (Kevin) and Stepmother to Jo Barham (David). Loving Grammy to Tawsha, Marcus, Gregory, Benjamin, Robert, Stephanie, Peter, William, Timothy and Jonty. Great-Grammy to Nathaniel, Kylie and Kayla.

Her youth was spent in Werrington and London where she enjoyed netball, dancing and frolicking with her cousins. Her strong work ethic began at a young age in England before emigrating to Canada where she raised her family and worked tirelessly before retiring from the hardest role of all managing an apartment building. It was through a fortunate vacation visit from abroad that she met and fell in love with George and lived happily, supporting each other through life’s twists and turns for over three decades.
As a mother (Mum), she was unequalled in her love and admiration of the lives and successes of her children. As a Grammy, she gave the best cuddles and snuggles and encouraged them to live a life as she lived hers through service, empathy and generosity to those less fortunate. The light in our world is dimmer in the absence of this wonderful woman; we shall miss her deeply.
