MARSHALL, Carol Alma Marshall  - passed away at her residence in Orillia, on August 17, 2024.

Carol was predeceased by her husband Robin (2022).

Loving mother of Andrew (Cassandra McClelland), Peter, and Wendy (Dave).

Survived by 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and predeceased by two grandchildren.

MORLEY, Hilda “Rae”  (nee Mellor) Morley  -  cherished daughter of Ethel Mellor (nee Jones) and Sampson Mellor, passed away suddenly on August 23rd in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of George Charles Morley for 32 years.

Proud Mum of Craig Young, Laura Murray and Lynda Burnett (Kevin) and Stepmother to Jo Barham (David). Loving Grammy to Tawsha, Marcus, Gregory, Benjamin, Robert, Stephanie, Peter, William, Timothy and Jonty. Great-Grammy to Nathaniel, Kylie and Kayla.

Predeceased by her Stepdaughter Georgina Briggs (Mike), her Grandson (Kenneth) and her dear siblings Etty, Evelyn, Gladys, Harold, Mabel, and Mary. She will be dearly missed by countless nieces, nephews and cousins overseas where she was born.

Her youth was spent in Werrington and London where she enjoyed netball, dancing and frolicking with her cousins. Her strong work ethic began at a young age in England before emigrating to Canada where she raised her family and worked tirelessly before retiring from the hardest role of all managing an apartment building. It was through a fortunate vacation visit from abroad that she met and fell in love with George and lived happily, supporting each other through life’s twists and turns for over three decades.

As a mother (Mum), she was unequalled in her love and admiration of the lives and successes of her children. As a Grammy, she gave the best cuddles and snuggles and encouraged them to live a life as she lived hers through service, empathy and generosity to those less fortunate. The light in our world is dimmer in the absence of this wonderful woman; we shall miss her deeply.

Visitation at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 101 Winchester Rd. Brooklin on Wednesday August 28th, from 10:00 am until time of funeral service in the Church at 11:00 am.

MYLES, Elsie Muriel (Bagan) Myles   -
May 27, 1934 - August 16, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsie Muriel Myles, peacefully at the age of 90, on August 16th, 2024.  Elsie was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba, and was the daughter to Michael Bagan and Jean Caruk, who, with their Polish and Ukrainian roots, came to Ontario.

Elsie was the beloved wife, to the love of her life, the late husband, Norman McNeill Myles. Cherished mother to Brian, Cathy, and Gary.

Elsie loved her incredible brother Moe Bagan, who was a constant in her life. She greatly treasured her grandchildren Spencer, Rachel, Jack, and Christopher.

She also leaves behind her step-children Terence Myles (Debra), Danny Myles (Cathie), Wayne Myles (Michelle), and the late Lee Myles, along with step-grandchildren, Christian, Garrett, Kaitlyn (Marshall). Dear Auntie to Cheryl (Tim), Mason, and the late Dale. Auntie Elsie also to Craig, Dean (Lisa), Lisa (Bill) and Blair (Mieka).

Elsie was in control of the funds as a Budget Secretary at Albert Campbell C.I. in Scarborough. She took this position right to retirement, where she received the ring of the golden school bell, to celebrate her years of dedication. She then took up golfing, and joined the Toronto Ladies Club, where she had many great games, a hole in one,
and enjoyed lunch with her golf friends.

She loved knitting and many of us don her sweaters and scarves. She could knit, count, and watch TV, all at the same time. She just kept on knitting and there was always spare to give to someone who visited. Her specially knitted items will be missed by all, and her special cards that arrived in the mail, with that extra little something, along with
warm words.

Elsie will be remembered as a wonderful friend, with a strong mind, and an incredibly loving heart.  A special thanks to the entire staff at Sunrise for their everyday care and compassion towards Elsie. What incredible humans you are! Thank you to Andrene, who made such a fuss on her 90th birthday with a fabulous crown and sash. Sunrise staff, you all made her feel so welcomed in her new environment, and provided great care right to the end.

To her friends at Sunrise, Morag Krauff and Lolanda Selvati, she enjoyed your friendship so much.

MONTGOMERY, Ineke Montgomery  - at the age of 84 has peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on the 10th of August 2024.

Survived by her Daughter Linda (Greg), Daughter In-Law Terry, Grandchildren Sean (Suzanne), Erin (Jeff), Skylar, Jenifer (Cody), Brody (Leilani), Travis (Zoey), Great Grandchildren Cyrus, Claire, Onyx, Aiden and Hayley.

Oma, as everyone knew her; was a resilient, strong, and large hearted loving person.

After immigrating to Canada from the Netherlands, Ineke set roots all across Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, finally laying her final roots in Ontario.

Oma worked hard and instilled that hard working effort into her children. When the family wasn't working hard building their family cleaning company they would enjoy trips together, whether that was camping or road trips.

As her family grew, so did her heart. She always brought joy and laughter with her quick witted responses and jokes. Oma enjoyed reading romance novels endlessly, and sitting down to tackle the next big beautiful puzzle.

Oma has joined predeceased Husband Bill, Daughter Margaret and Son Richard.

MCGREGOR, Lisa Patrice   -  It is with heavy hearts we announce Lisa’s passing on Sunday July 28, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a courageous two-year battle with an illness.

Lisa was a devoted wife to Neil McGregor and loving mother to Jacob and McKenzie McGregor. She was the cherished daughter of Rose and Covel Jacobs; and caring sister to Carolyn Alexander, Bryan Jacobs, Jason Jacobs and Jevon Jacobs. Lisa was also a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews Alwrick Alexander, Benjamin Jacobs, Hailey Alexander, Chloe Jacobs, Ezra Jacobs and grand-nephew A’mare Alexander.

Lisa’s warmth, kindness and love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering love of her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She will be lovingly remembered by extended family, special aunts, cousins, many friends, former colleagues, neighbours, her sports family, and students. Lisa was an extraordinary person with more than 25 years as an educator.

Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
