FEBRUARY 13, 1961 – MARCH 6, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Frances Watson.
Anne passed peacefully on March 6th, 2024 at the age of 63.
She will be survived by the love of her life, her husband, John, her three adoring children Amanda (Jonathan), Christopher, and Renee (Josh) and her beloved mini dachshund, Oscar.
Anne was a very friendly and outgoing person who would stop to chat whenever she was out & about.
She had a curiosity about others that led to long conversations with strangers, sometimes to the chagrin of her family.
She did not take herself too seriously and had a silly streak that brought joy to others. We will miss her giddy laugh, which often accompanied some kind of doodle, costume, or character.
Aside from her family, Anne’s passions in life included motorcycle riding, sewing & crafting, and gardening. Not a day will go by that we will also think about how many cute animal videos she might have sent and enjoyed.
Anne often said that she had no regrets in life and that will be a consolation for us, as our sweet wife and mother passed too soon. As Billy Joel has noted, “only the good die young.”
The Watson Family will be celebrating Anne’s life privately. Donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the Lung Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Watson Family would also like to thank the Palliative Care Unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their compassion and continued care.
