In loving memory.

December 30, 1960 - May 13, 2024

On May 13, 2024 in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her children, Scouter Barbara (Bubbles) passed away after a strong and courageous battle with her illnesses.

Barbara will be forever cherished by Keith, her husband of 42 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Christopher and his wife Krista; Stephanie; and Natasha.

Barbara (Nanna) will be missed by her loving and caring Grandson Dominic. She was a devoted daughter of Gordon (predeceased) and Kathleen Callaghan and a loving sister to Richard and wife Stacey.

Barbara was welcomed into the Saliba family by her in-laws Alfred and Ena (both predeceased), sister-in-law Joanne, and brother-in-law Kevin 43 years ago and very quickly became a treasured and loved member of the family. She will also be fondly remembered by her niece, nephews, and friends.

Barbara dedicated her adult life to taking care of her family. She never regretted making the decision to be a "stay at home Mom", a job for which she loved every minute of. As her kids grew up, she spent her time volunteering at their schools, greeting them at home for lunch or after school, making sure they were able to attend their many activities, and mostly ensuring they were safe and knew they were loved.

She was so delighted to have the opportunity to care for Dominic in his early years. This was a very special time for her as she got to spend each day with him playing games, sharing her love for Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, singing songs, reading books, and of course watching Thomas the Tank Engine and singing every song along with him over and over.

That relationship continued to develop until her last day, and she cherished every moment. Dominic and his Nanna had a very special relationship, and he always treated her like a "queen". Barbara never let life's "bumps" get in her way and stop her from doing the things she enjoyed and always greeted people with her smile and cheerful disposition.

She enjoyed listening to music, reading novels, attending plays or musicals, dancing, watching NASCAR and soccer, playing Sudoku, camping, and eating ice cream in the winter.

She loved spending time at the family's lake property listening to the loons, watching the chipmunks chase each other, taking boat rides, and even fishing. She spent endless hours volunteering as a Beaver Leader and held positions at the group and regional level and always looked forward to helping out at Cub Kars.

But her most favorite activity was spending time with family and friends.

Barbara always put her family first and her love for them was, and will forever be, endless.
