It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Vito Malfara on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the age of 63 in Port Perry, ON.

He was forced to retire at 60 due to Diabetes. Vito enjoyed coaching the soccer teams of Lake Simcoe Soccer Club with his three sons.

Vito is survived by his wife of 39 years Ivana, his brothers Joe and Gasper, his sister-in-law Teresa, his father-in-law Paride and step mother-in-law Elizabeth, his children Sabrina, Adam-Michael, Celestino and Mateo, his son-in-law Paul Carreiro, his daughters-in-law Yasmine and Carly, his granddaughter Caia, his niece Julia and nephews Bryan and Michael.

Vito was predeceased by his mother and father Teresa and Vito, his mother-in-law Dina Paoletti and sister-in-law Allison Malfara.

Private visitation. As per Vito’s wishes, cremation will take place with no cemetery services.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Diabetes Association of Canada.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bert Jackson announce his passing on September 21, 2021 at Ajax Hospital at the age of 89 years.

Bert was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth "Betty".

He is survived by his partner and companion, Margaret, his children Alan (Shellie), Brian, and Maureen (Paul), his grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Ryan, Alanna and Allison, as well as 5 great-grandchildren.

Bert is also survived by his brother Billy, and sisters Chrissy and Amy.

Bert was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and moved to Canada in 1957.

He loved to spend time with his family, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, and he was a huge fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, no funeral service will be held.

Dear sister of Jack Lewis (Keitha).

Predeceased by her parents Perley and Elsie of Orillia.

Predeceased by her brothers Philips Lewis (late Ellen) and Gerald Lewis (late Joan).

Vivienne loved family get togethers and her cookies, pumpkin pies and hot cross buns were always a hit. She was a poet and was always writing poems for special occasions.

She was an excellent swimmer and often bragged about swimming across the St Lawrence river. She loved singing in the church choir and continued her singing at the nursing home.

Vivienne will be remembered by her beautiful smile.

The family would like to thank the dedication of the staff on Primrose Path in such difficult times.

Special thanks to Mel (an angel in disguise), Anthony and Michelle for their incredible kindness.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vera [Emma] Smith announce her passing on August 29, 2021, in her 97th year.

Vera was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Herbert.

Much loved mother to Stephen (Leslie) and Peter (Cheryl ).

Fun loving Nanny to Jeffrey (Andrea ), Gregory (Lindsay) and Caryn Vreeker (Cory).

Very proud and Special Great Nanny of Abigail, Taylor, Ryleigh, Cara and Carter. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews back in England.

Born in Birkenhead England, Vera served in WW2 with ATS. The family emigrated to Canada in 1957.

Vera had a lifelong love of singing and dancing, and continued to line dance into her 87th year.

She will be greatly missed by all family and friends, and will always be remembered.

Special Thank You to all the staff at Fairview Lodge Whitby, for the outstanding care of our Mother during her time there.

Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
