Passed away peacefully on Saturday June 5th, 2021, at the age of 83, at The Village of Taunton Mills. Lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 63years Bob.
Dear sister of Fred Mandryk (Debbie) and Lynda Doyle. Predeceased by her brother Eugene and brother in law Brian.
Fondly remembered by her sister in law Therese.
Sadly missed by many nieces & nephews…family & friends.
Vera was proud of her time as a budget analyst with the City of Oshawa.

A Private Family Service will be held on Friday June 11th, 2021 in the Chapel of ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME.
Cremation will take place with interment of ashes at Thornton Cemetery.

1925 - 2021 Velma passed away peacefully at Extendicare Oshawa on May 30. 2021, where she was a resident for the past two years.
Velma was born in Toronto and was the youngest sister of Harold, George, Albert, Edna, Mildred, and Ann, all deceased.
She was the wife of William Murray Scott for 53 years (deceased), and partner of Ted Chandler for 10 years, (deceased).
Velma will be greatly missed by her children David (Cathy), Douglas (Mary), and Dale (Chris), her grandchildren Michael (Tara), Lesley (Jay), Bryan (Krista), Tyler (Christine), and Corey, as well as her nieces Cheryl, Kim , Leslie, Nancy, Carol, nephew Bob and their families.
Velma was blessed with 8 great grandchildren Oliver, Holden, Jackson, Chase, Lincoln, Marley, Christine, and Jamison. Velma had a wonderful career as a secretary at Robin Hood Multifoods in Scarborough.
Our family always looked forward to the assortment of Bicks Pickles products that she would bring home at the end of the work week.Velma retired at age 60 but continued to work part time for a few years as a book keeper at a local business in our neighbourhood.
She also sang with the Perennials, a musical group that would entertain residents of LTC homes in the Durham region. She had such a beautiful voice.
She received excellent care, and the family commends the staff for their dedication and commitment in keeping the residents safe during COVID.
Special thanks to Velma’s primary caregivers including Autumn, Victoria, Hani, Marcia, Nicole, and Kim for providing the best care our family could hope for.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my loving mother, Velma Campbell (nee O’Leary) on May 24th, 2021 surrounded by family at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga after a brief illness at the age of 85.
Beloved mother of Richard (Ricky) and his wife, Sherri.
Pre-deceased by her parents, Wilfred and Ida O’Leary of Tottenham, Ontario and her brothers and sisters Aubrey, Norman, Gregory, Catherine and Frances.
Velma will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Velma was the proud president of the residents counsel at the Mississauga long-term care facility.
She really enjoyed her time playing bingo and going to art classes with her friends. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of the 3A stroke ward at Trillium Health Centre, especially Ramona for the kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank the staff of Mississauga Long term care facility for their care, support and attention while mother was in their care.

Vivienne will be missed beyond words and lovingly remembered for her caring nature, sense of humour and devotion to her family.

Born on December 30, 1930 in Workum, Friesland, the Netherlands, passed away March 27, 2021 at Landmark Assisted Living in Cobourg, Ontario.
Predeceased by her husband Willem (Bill Tendam in 2000). She is survived by Hilda Lowe and Eric, Willard and Elly, Sharon, Garry and Brenda, Rosa (Hulme) and Stephen.
She will be missed by her 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerben Wouda and Hiltje Dijkstra and also by her sisters Johanna Wouda in the Netherlands, Wilma Wouda in Canada and her brother Anne Wouda also in the Netherlands.
Vera and her family arrived on December 9, 1952 on the "Maasdam” from Rotterdam in Halifax. From there they took the train to Newcastle and stayed the rest of their lives in Ontario.
A private graveside service was held at Bowmanville Cemetery.

Virginia Bond (nee Dionne) slipped away in her sleep Wednesday February 24, 2021.
She was the devoted wife of George Bond (deceased 2007) and loving mom of Joanne Bond (Bryan Feland) and Nancy Haley (Rene Marcoux).
Loving Gramma of Amanda D’Souza (Duncan), Jessica Palmer, Jane Haley (Darren) and Michael Haley (Jena), Stephanie Marcoux.

Virginia is survived by her sister Teresa Comerford (Stan), sister-in -law Joanne Dionne, brother-in-law Ivan Wallace (Bernadine) and sister-in- law June Yuill.
Very special thanks to PSW Rebecca who was such a comfort to mom.
Thank you to RN Mary for all her advice and support and to Dr. Kevin Lam for all of his visits, advice and care for mom and for me the last few months.
