Passed away peacefully, on June 22, 2023, in his 89th year, at the Oak Ridge Hospice in Port Perry with his loving family by his side.
Ken is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margo; and their children, Dawn (Tim Johnson), Dan (Tara Healy, and their kids), and Drew (Lisa Allen) and Lexie.
Ken was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Joe Pegg. He is also survived by his sister, Donna; brothers, Terry and Mike (Sharlene); and their families. Ken retired from Bell Canada after 31 years of service.
Ken was especially fond and proud to be a member of the Port Perry community.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #419 on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at 2:30 p.m.

Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces at the age of 102.
Born in Picton Ontario, Ken served in WW11 as a Coder aboard HMCS Corvette Nanaimo and HMCS Destroyer Assiniboine.
He settled in Oshawa Ontario to raise a family with Adeline (deceased).
Lovingly cherished by his daughter Paula and sons Royce, Jeff and Andrew, grandchildren Jackie and Bradley.
Brother to Christine, Jim (deceased) and Ruth (deceased) He was Personnel Manager for Whitby Dunlop Tire, Dayton Tire and later Firestone Tire.
Dad had a long happy retirement and spent the twilight of his last years in the caring hands with staff at Hillsdale Terraces. Life is precious we spend it one day at a time.
Dad got to spend more than most, but never complained and always believed that tomorrow would be better.
Many thanks to all who knew dad and spent time with him.

After a valiant battle with an aggressive cancer, Karen passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 56 years.

Over her beautiful and complete 75-year life, Katherine “Kathy” Green was known by all for her limitless empathy.
She had boundless enthusiasm, always saw the best in people, and filled every day with acts of kindness small and large.
Kathy passed away on June 19, 2023 after developing a rare and incurable disease.
Kathy was the first-born daughter to Dr. John & Frances Maroosis in Oshawa. She was very close her whole life with her younger sisters Francie Maroosis and Anne Morison.
Kathy shared a dynamic 32-year marriage with the love of her life, Norm Green. Norm brought her a son Drew, whom she held as her own. They had two more children, John & Katie.
Kathy was an extraordinary teacher. For over 35 years she shared her passion for education with thousands of students & teachers across the Durham Region, and later in her career, across Germany and Italy as well.
Kathy enjoyed especially close relationships with her children-in-law, Andrea Dayco, Malgosia Green, and David Michaud, and her brothers-in-law, Charlie Morison and Ron Green.
When grandchildren Liam, Aidan, Radek, Mira, Bella and Charles came along, they became the major focus of Kathy’s life.
She’d travel across the country to be with them and couldn’t have been a more proud and engaged “New Grandma” / Yiayia.
Kathy was a lifelong member of Oshawa’s Knox Presbyterian Church. She was ordained as an Elder 22 years ago, and cherished the opportunity to serve her congregation in this role.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23rd 2023, from 4-7pm at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (1587 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Courtice).
The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 24th, 2023, at Knox Presbyterian Church (147 Simcoe St N, Oshawa).

Son of the late Peter Patrick Hannah and Philomena Abbass, born on September 23, 1938, passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Ontario on June 17th, 2023.
Restauranteur, he owned and operated several restaurants in Cape Breton, before moving to Toronto.
Ken was a Chef, father, uncle, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia O'Neil and by his partner, Jan Clarke.
Kenny is survived by his daughter Kim Hagan (Randy) and sons Shaun (Joyce), Darren and Scott (Tracey).
He is also survived by his sister Regina Sorhaitz and brother Harvey, his extended family, uncles, aunts, several cousins, nieces and nephews for whom he was the senior cousin are also left to mourn.
Survived by his second wife, Camilla Curry.
He was instrumental in establishing Gamblers Annonymous in Cape Breton, through which he helped numerous people.
He enjoyed summers in Cape Breton on the Bras d'or Lakes, especially family gatherings at Bellid Abbass, for the annual reunion.
According to his wishes there will be no visitation.
Cremation has taken place and the funeral and burial will be held on Friday August 4th, 2023 at 3:00 pm at St. Mary Parish, East Bay, Nova Scotia.

A devoted husband and beloved father, grandad, and active member of his community, passed away at the age of 63.
Born in Wallasey, England on January 26, 1960, and came to Canada in 1971 with his family.
Ken touched the lives of many through his involvement in various activities, his commitment to his church, and his unwavering dedication to his family.
His departure leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all, Ken cherished his role as a loving husband, dad, grandad, and brother.
His family was the center of his universe, and he revelled in every moment spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He shared in their joys, celebrated their successes, and offered unwavering support during difficult times.
His warm smile, witty sense of humour, and boundless love will forever be etched in the hearts of his family, who will remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of endless affection. Ken was a loving husband to his wife Brenda, and a dedicated father to children Angela (Ben), Valerie (Isaac), and Michael.
Ken was a devoted grandad to both Griffin and Archer in all that they did. He will be dearly missed by his sister Ann, brother David (Penny), and all his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We are grateful for the hard work of the medical teams at both Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
May his soul find eternal peace.

Kirk will be sadly missed by his mother and father-in-law Cindy and Merv Freake, his grandmother Velzora Newman, sisters-in-law Nicole and Robin (Wes), his many nieces, extended family and many friends.
Kirk was a proud Canadian, selfless, always wanting to help people. He was able to save 4 lives, answer 4 prayers and made 4 miracles happen by donating his organs.
He was a jokester and could reply with a sarcastic comment at any moment.
He was an avid fisherman and a Toronto Maple Leaf fan.
Kirk was a hard worker and devoted his life to his family. He touched many lives and will leave his imprint on their hearts.

Passed away peacefully June 4, 2023 at the age of 94, at Lakeland Long Term Care in Parry Sound, with her daughter Lesia and son-in-law Kevin at her side.
Beloved wife of the late John Guzylak. Loving mother of Lesia (Kevin) and Olha. Proud grandmother of her 2 grandchildren, Adrian and Christopher.
Beloved sister of Anna and aunt of Danell and the late Christine.
She was very proud of the time she served at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital.
Mom's passion was being a seamstress, doing cross stitching, knitting and looking after her garden and flowers. She was an active member of the Oshawa Ukrainian Catholic Community.

Keith Pigeon passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on June 8th, 2023.
Keith was the son of the late Alex and Anne Pigeon.
Husband of Marguerite (nee Stewart) and father of William Keith and Darlene Marguerite Small, grandfather of Taylor Small (Mark) and Sydney Small, great grandfather of Kasper Travis.
Keith is survived by his sister Beryl Lee. Brother to the late Evelyn (Steve), Lorraine (Jim), Vivian (Bert), Peggy (Albert), Kenneth (Doreen), Phyllis and Colleen (George).
Brother-in-law to Linda & Neil Cutler, Sharyl (the late Jim) Agnew, Ken and Dolly Lavery. He loved his very best friends, John and Pauline O’Donnell and family.
Keith leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and he loved each and every one.
His family meant the world to him, he sure liked to brag about them, especially his little great-grandson, the light of his life. A well known and respected tradesman in the Bancroft area for many years.
An avid fisherman and hunter.
Always had a keen respect for the environment and the hunting regulations in Bruton Twsp. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family is very grateful for the care Keith received in Lakeridge Health, the ParaMed nurses and P.S.W.’s in Bowmanville.
