Brenda Mitchell passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 67.
Brenda was born in 1956 to William and Marjorie Carron.
Loving wife of 48 years to Allen, and a loving mother to the late Melissa, Tim (Lisa), Darcy (Megan), and Riley (Bailey). Beloved Grammy to Bailey, Chance, Teia, Aedyn, and Mathieu.
Great Grammy to Melissa and Tristan.
Wonderful sister to Dale (McGill), Janet (Cain), and Sheila (Carron).
Noteworthy about Brenda's character...'No matter how bad things got, she was always smiling.'
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 3:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall at 1950 Wilson Rd N in Oshawa.
Brenda LaRocque-Hosking passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Brenda was Born October 23, 1954 in Oshawa, to the late Noreen and Simon LaRocque.
Brenda leaves behind son Mitchel Hosking, siblings Janine LaRoque/Miller , Joe (Simon) & Ted LaRocque, nieces Jenny and Michelle nephews Phillip, Skyler , Micah and Braxton. Predeceased by her sons Chad and Cooper Hosking, brothers Michael and Ronnie Larocque.
Brenda was a member of the Narcotics Anonymous fellowship in the Oshawa area for 30+ years. She built many loving relationships in the rooms and helped so many during their recovery journey.
She loved to be apart of service, attend meetings and provide her experience, strength and hope to many. Included all those she helped in the work place. She touched so many lives and will be forever missed by her recovery family.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Brenda. She loved to quilt, spend time with family and had a great love for animals. She often spent time in the kitchen baking delicious treats for friends and family.
She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and her personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Brenda will be honoured with a celebration of life on Saturday, January 27 2024 at the Alano Club, 200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
We welcome family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Brenda to attend.

Born February 25, 1952 in Scarborough, Ontario, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 16, 2024 in Oshawa, Ontario after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.
Son of the late Arthur and Shirley Walker.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife Imelda.
Cherished father of Jessie (Ron), Jayson (Kim), Jacob, and stepfather of Hazel Mae, and Juliana.
Proud Grandpa of Joshua, Kaleb, and Quinn. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Bobby was a retired long-time employee of Safran Landing Systems, Ajax and he will be dearly remembered for his hard work and dedication as a volunteer in the Prison Ministries. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18th at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. & 7:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. A service will be held the following day, Friday, January 19th in the Chapel at 2:00p.m. with visitation one-hour prior.

Peacefully passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of Vera for 64 wonderful years.
Loving father of Ljuba and his wife Ana. Cherished Deda of Danilo and Ivana.
Dear brother of Ana Matic of Serbia. Predeceased by his siblings Zdravko, Misa, and Ljubica.
Branko was born and raised in Cerovac, a village close to Sabac, Yugoslavia.
He met and married the love of his life, Vera, in 1960. They raised their son Ljubinko for 13 years in the house that Branko built in Sabac.
He worked many years in Germany and Slovenia to create a better life for his family. In 1974, they immigrated to Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, where he worked at PSF for many years.
Branko was a founding member of St. Arsenije Sremec Serbian Orthodox Church and he supported the church with building and selling many wood crosses at cost for the Serbian Orthodox churches in the GTA.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. with Prayers at 3 pm at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME , (124 King St. E., Oshawa).
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11 am at St. Arsenije Sremac Serbian Orthodox Church, 508 Byron St, Whitby.
Interment to follow at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY, 21 Garrard St, Whitby, followed by a memorial luncheon back at St. Arsenije Sremac Orthodox Church.
All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.

He passed on January 11, 2024 at the age of 75.
Barry Rynard, beloved husband of Dianne Rynard (nee Parish) of Port Perry.
Loving father of Anne Cameron (née Rynard) and her husband Randy, Gary Rynard and his wife Shelley, and Mike Rynard and his wife Corinne.
Loved Grandpa of Dylan Cameron, Curt Cameron, Lance Cameron, Rebecca Rynard, Ashley Rynard, Sara Rynard, Leia Rynard, Ryan Rynard, and great Grandpa of Maddy and Beau Cameron. He will be greatly missed by his dog Misty.
Cremation has taken place, as per Barry's wishes a private family interment will be held at Sunderland Cemetery.

Of Oshawa, Ontario, passed away on January 10, 2024 at 09:57:09 p.m. EST at Taunton Mills Long Term Care Home.
Bert was born on September 11, 1927 to Hermanus and Aaltje Michel in Vriesenveen, Netherlands, one of 9 children.
He was 12 years old when the Netherlands was occupied by Germany and along with his entire family was active in the Resistance.
April 1947 he was drafted into the Dutch army and sailed in August 1947 to serve in the Dutch Indonesian war as a truck driver.
It was on that sailing that he made a personal commitment to his Lord Jesus Christ. After the war ended, he immigrated in 1950 to Canada, following his girlfriend, Corry Kiezebrink who he married on September 9, 1951.
He founded Raglan Industries in 1959.
He is survived by his sister Hermanna Laarman, his wife of 72 years, Corry, and his children Catharine (Ron), Harry (Peggy), Bert ((Mary deceased), Margrid), John (Gail), Ed (Wilma), Robert (Lynn), David (Kathy), Judy (Andy deceased), Paul (Sandy), 36 grand children and almost 100 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by grandsons Mark and Joel and great granddaughters Chloe and Rebecca. Missions was of great importance to Bert.
He went on mission trips to Columbia, Zambia, Asia, Indonesia and all over Canada with the Baptist Quick Build church builders.
He faithfully supported the work of many missionaries. Funeral service will be held at Faithway Baptist Church, 1964 Salem Road, Ajax on Saturday January 13, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Family viewing 10:00 am - 11:00 am, General Viewing 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. 1:00 fellowship. 2:00 internment.

Barry passed away at his home on January 2, 2024 with his family by his side.
Pre deceased by his parents Hugh and Thomasina and beloved brother to John (Debby) and Sandra.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Flora Soley.
She died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on January 1, 2024 at the age of 83.
She will be deeply missed by her sister Cheryl, nieces Debbie (Bill) and Andrea, great niece Ashley (Kyle) and great great nephews Jackson and Carter.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents William and Mary and her nephew Scott. Bonnie had a great passion for crafts, gardening and travel.
She found joy in creating beautiful hand made crafts, tending to her garden and traveling extensively around the world. Animals were also an important part of her life, her beloved cats Smokey and Sebastian gave her tremendous joy as well as volunteering at the Toronto Zoo for many years working with the elephants.
In her community Bonnie was an active member of Blythwood Road Baptist Church where she found solace and spiritual guidance. Her faith was an important part of her life and she cherished her time spent worshipping at the church. Bonnie's wonderful spirit, kind heart and warm smile will be remembered by all that knew her. She was very loved and we will miss her dearly. May she rest in eternal peace.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a gathering in remembrance of Bonnie.
