Died peacefully on December 19, 2020, in her 93rd year.She was treasured by her husband Donald of 70 years (who passed in April, 2020) and was greatly loved by her sons Robert (Jennie), John (Susan) and Andrew (Tracy), grandchildren Ryan, Drew (Corinne), Lucas, Trevor (Ashley) and Kristen; and great grandchildren Carter and Reagan (Drew & Corinne).She is fondly remembered by her nephew Chris (Linda), and niece Suzanne (Edward) and their children Daniel and Matthew.She married Donald Bean at age 21, and three years later became a mother, spending the next few decades as an excellent homemaker, dealing with three active boys.She had wonderful times all through life with her best friend from girlhood, Merle Shugg.A memorial service and interment of her cremated remains will take place at a future date.Donations in Virginia’s memory to a CHARITY of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 19, 1950, Valerie grew up with eight siblings in a close-knit family. She loved Newfoundland as her home but left at 18 years old to move to Ontario with the love of her life, Roger Currie, whom she later married and had two children, Laurie & Shane.Valerie always kept her family, children, and grandchildren close and shared in their happiness and pain. Valerie was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
