Devoted and Beloved Wife for 56 years - Prudence Sayer Daddy’s Little Girl Terri Partridge (Mike) Dads Pride and Joy Son Robert Sayer (Lindsey) “Cool” Papa to 4 grandsons that he loved dearly and always - Kristoffer Sayer, Ian Partridge, Adam Partridge and Colin Partridge.
Loving younger brother to James (Hank) Sayer (Lorraine).
Bill was Born in Toronto on December 23rd 1943 to Leslie Henry James Sayer and Isabel Sayer (Jarvie) and raised in East York for 20 years
Married Prudy December 10, 1966 and raised his family in Henry Farms, a fabulous community in North York. Upon Retirement Bill and Prudy moved to Lagoon City to be close to their many friends and of his beloved Tanzer 22 sail boat named after his beautiful and cherished wife PRUDENCE.
Bill enjoyed a career that spanned 35+ years at Sun Life Assurance Canada. He started as an office clerk and was quickly promoted to sales.
Through hard work, dedication and pure love of working with and mentoring people he ended his career as Sun Life Scarborough Branch Manager.
To add to his business accomplishments, he was actively involved in his community and his love of racing sailing boats. He was Commodore at both the Cooks Bay Yacht Club and the Lagoon City Yacht Club, and an active member of the JayCee Club and Rotary Club.
Bill’s most remanding quality and what he will probably be remembered for, other that being a fabulous and devoted husband and father, was his powerful fun loving presence that you couldn’t help but be drawn into every time he entered the room.
He knew how to make you laugh and more importantly how to be a cherished friend and adviser of wisdom when someone was in need.
The Family also extends its appreciation to the team of caring and hard working personal and nurses at Taunton Mills Retirement Home.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of William "Al" Allan Roney, at the age of 76 on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Loving husband of Penny (nee Sothmann) of 50 years.
Al was a devoted and engaged father to his children Bradley Lawrence (Melissa), William Shane (Tuenjai “Ann”), and Robert Neil (Shannon) Roney.
He was a proud and cherished Grandfather to his 8 Grandchildren William Brandon, Carter, Andrew, Mabel, Paisley, Samantha, Travis Allan and Avery.
Al loved spending time outdoors, and appreciating the simplest beauties in life. He always had a welcoming smile on his face whenever you saw him. He enjoyed meeting new people and always had a kind word to share.
He was a person who was open minded to all opinions and made everyone who met him feel welcome. His love for sports never went unnoticed. He was a proud member of the R.C.M.P. for 35 years.
He had a generous soul who cherished spending time with his family. He always gave a helping hand and was there for his friends and community. Al’s love for his family was immeasurable.
He will be fondly remembered by his loving sibling, Patricia (Syd) Hartley, nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.

In his 92nd year, showing relentless courage and faith, William David Hughes of Ajax, Canada passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on the morning of Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
Loving father (Trini-DAD) of Michael William Hughes (Jennifer Lynn Hughes) and Debra Ann Hughes (Dexter Quarless).
Beloved grandfather of Jessica Hughes, Joshua Quarless and Madeleine Hughes.
Predeceased by his father, Edwin Arthur and mother, May Madeline.
Cherished cousin, father, grandfather, and friend to many who loved him very much.
Bill, an only child, was born in Trinidad on September 16, 1931 and moved to Montreal, Canada in the late 60’s where he married and taught grade 6 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Elementary School.
Bill’s happiest moments were spent with his children and grandchildren, and he loved to talk on the phone with his family in Trinidad, Barbados, North Carolina, Toronto, and Vancouver.
Bill loved studying History and Genealogy; he built special memories with his family by sharing family history, travelling to the Caribbean and Japan, as well as talking about his faith.
Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax. The funeral will follow immediately at 11:00 am.

February 1, 1931 - December 25, 2022
Bill passed away peacefully on Christmas Day with his loving wife Mary by his side, as she has been for the last 66 years of their marriage.
He was a beloved son to the late Geraldine and William Peters and will be missed by his sister Carol Himmer of Florida, the late Donna Davidson and younger brother Jim Peters, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Bill was an avid sports lover. As a young boy he played hockey with the Sudbury Wolves and for The Smith Truckmen who won the Senior B Championship.
He enjoyed playing a round of golf with the guys and at times took out a rod and reel.
He enjoyed watching and supporting the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays from the comfort of his home.
Bill worked for General Motors for 35 years before retiring in 1986.
He started out in the purchasing department in Oshawa, was transferred to Quebec for 10 years to help start a new plant, before ending his career as a Divisional Buyer back in Oshawa.
Bill and Mary were snowbirds and loved the many years they spent in Florida during the winter months and travelling.
He lead a life well lived and treasured his wife Mary, she was completely devoted to him right to the end and never left his side.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and PSW’s who came into their home, and a special thanks to Femmie for taking such great and loving care of him.

Wendy was born in Montreal, the daughter of Robert and Gwyneth (Ballinger) Townshend.
Wendy is survived by her sister Linda (Kirk) and brother Wayne, predeceased by her sister- in law Barb Townsend.
She was a proud mother to Lisa (Peter) and Laura (Adrian).
She is remembered and loved by her grandchildren April (Chris), Ariadne, Theoden and Great Grandson Lucas.
As well as niece Susan and nephews Stephen, Brian, David and Connor.
Wendy dedicated a portion of her career teaching students with disabilities and spent the remainder as a respected Superintendent at a building which became filled with family and long term friends.
For many she was considered a safe place and would often lend a listening ear to those in need.
She enjoyed cheering on her favourite team - the Blue Jays, watching ice skating and indulging in her daily soap operas.
Wendy lived a beautiful life and she will continue to live on in the ones who were lucky enough to love her - in our memories and in our hearts and for that we are a little less sad.
A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

Bill transitioned to umpiring softball at a local level after his time as a coach had ended.
After retiring from the ball diamond, Bill moved to the role he cherished most - as Grampa.
