Pamela Anne van Rossem, born on February 2, 1936, in London, England, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Pam was a remarkable woman whose life reflected her dedication to family, her love for all living things, and her unwavering commitment to defending the underdog.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Gardens Long-Term Care Home for the compassionate care they provided Pam in her final years.
Pam embraced many roles throughout her life, from working as a magazine editor to being a stay-at-home mother, community TV programmer, and later a cashier. Her husband, Johan (Joe) van Rossem, and their family were her greatest joy, and she poured her boundless compassion and strength into everything she did.
Pam leaves behind her beloved husband Joe and sons Chris (Susanne) and Tim (Sophie) van Rossem. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Oliver, Emily, Millie, and Ella. Her warmth, fierce spirit, and devotion will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
A "Time to Remember" gathering will be held on November 15, 2024, at the McEachnie Family Centre, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, Ontario, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Pam’s life and sharing memories of a truly extraordinary woman. It is with great sadness that the family of Denise Elizabeth Reid announces her passing on October 30, 2024, at the age of 59. Denise passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents Patricia Foster and Buddy Fallows, and by her grandparents Doris and Earl Clark, who lovingly raised her. She was also predeceased by her sisters Joan and Judy; her brothers Douglas, Edward, Brian, and Ross; her brothers-in-law Dennis and Andy; and her cousin Cathy.
Denise leaves behind her cherished daughters Michelle (Greig), Amanda (Ryan), Jackie, and Jennifer (Brad), as well as her stepdaughters Kim and Amy. She was a devoted grandmother to Bradley, Nicholas, Grace, Cassandra, Rachel, Elizabeth, Owen, Sara, Liam, Landon, Mackenzie, Rebecca, Dawson, and Oliver, whom she loved with all her heart.
Denise is also mourned by her stepmother Janet; her sisters Pamela, Gisela (Sean), Cindy, Charlene (Mike), Christine, Carolyn, and Sandy; her brother Jeff; and her stepsiblings Adam and Simone. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A visitation and service to celebrate Denise’s life will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, with the date and time to be determined. Details will be shared with family and friends in due course.

Susan Lee Rohrer, 75, of View Lake, Ontario, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, following a long and courageous battle with dementia. Born on October 26, 1949, to Henry Cantrell and Cora Lee Linton, Susan was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She was married for 53 years to her husband, Kenneth Rohrer (2023), and was a devoted mother to her children, Michelle and Jeffrey (Trung).
Susan shared her life and passions with Ken, supporting him in farming, land development, and building their dream home on the lake. Together they enjoyed showcasing their cherished 1971 Chevelle convertible at local car shows. Susan loved craft shows, shopping, and lunches with her sister, Marlene Werry (2019), with whom she shared many cherished laughs. Winters were spent in Florida, where she enjoyed line dancing, yoga, swimming, and bike riding.
The family wishes to thank the compassionate nurses and PSWs at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes and Bayshore Home Health, especially Laura (2024) and Dorothea, for their outstanding care and friendship to Susan in her final years.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street, Port Perry. Cremation has taken place, and per Susan’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the age of 77, Judith Ruby Romany passed away surrounded by loved ones. She was the loving daughter of the late Cyril and Doreen Romany and is now reunited with her predeceased sister, Dian Graham. Judith is survived by her siblings Denise Francis-Lau, Jacqueline Ghent, and Gerard Romany. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, their children, and a wide circle of friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Andrew John Rideout announces his passing on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the age of 50.
Andrew was the beloved son of Dianna and the late Allen Rideout. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Jason Rideout, and Jason's partner, Shannon. Andrew was also a cherished uncle to Kyle and Sophie.

Salvatore "Sam" Rende
February 1958 – October 2024
Salvatore "Sam" Rende, age 66, of Ajax, Ontario, passed away on October 1st, 2024. He was born on February 21st, 1958, to Francesco and Laura Rende in Toronto, Ontario. Sam was a hard worker who not only supported his family but helped them thrive. He was also known for his love of Pink Floyd, his dogs Ellie, Charlie, and Bella, Nascar, golf, Thursdays with the boys, and most of all, his family.
Sam is survived by his wife Cheryl, his son Michael and wife Jennifer, his daughter Amanda and husband Jake, and his grandchildren Lucas, Emily, and Arwen. He is also survived by his sisters Carmela (Andre), Angela (Darren), Elena (Rick), and his sister-in-law Ida. Sam was predeceased by his brother Mario.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 22nd, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 322 in Ajax, starting at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Alzheimer Society of Ontario or The Humane Society of Durham Region in Sam's honor.
