Surrounded by loved ones she peacefully returned to Heaven at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in the palliative care ward. Leaving behind the love of her life for nearly 70 years, Gerald.
They were married for 66 almost 67 years and dated for two years prior. Survived by her son Carl (Kim), predeceased by her son, Dale. She leaves behind a sister Ruby, and is predeceased by her brother Carl, sister Hilda and three siblings lost before their time in Trenton.

Missed also by other grandchildren and great- grandchildren, many more friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and care providers. Born in ‘38 Bessie learned young that hard work went far but kindness went even farther. As a young girl she went after every opportunity, her stories were boundless and amazing.
She never missed an opportunity to help another, especially the elders of her communities.
Well known for her hugs from all her family, loved ones, friends, and caregivers.
This is something she continued every day even while at Hillsdale Estates. Bessie’s hugs will be gravely missed by us all. The family would especially like to thank the Hillsdale family for taking amazing care of Bessie for the last year.
The support team for Bessie included so many and we appreciate each and every one of you.
A special thank you to Tom Bellamy for bringing Gerald to and from the Nursing Home on an almost weekly basis and to Mary Jeffery for stepping in as a daughter throughout the last decade.

He was a dedicated successful business man and it should not come as a surprise that he passed away after business hours and on a Friday so we wouldn’t miss too much work.
Forever loved and missed.
