Barbara was born in Melbourne, Quebec, on June 25, 1930, and moved to Toronto’s High Park area following her marriage to Lawrence in 1950, where she worked for the Bank of Montreal in downtown Toronto.
Barbara and Lawrence eventually settled in Oshawa where Barbara worked for Statistics Canada and was a proud member of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church and the Bowmanville Curling Club.
Barbara loved to laugh, dance, play cards, paint, and spend time with her family, especially at Braywood, the cottage on Esson Lake she and Lawrence built together.
Visitation will be held at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday, December 14, 2023, starting at 10 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
A reception at the funeral home will follow the service. Interment Thornton Cemetery.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear sister “Lynn” on December 6, 2023 in her 62nd year.
Lynn leaves behind her loving mother Barbara Milligan and siblings Ted, Joanne, Bob (Tara) and Jim.
Loving aunt of Jennifer, Jessica, Nicholas, Mathew, Amanda, Jacob, Zachery and Jevon.
Great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Lynn will also be lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends, especially life long friend Brigitte Rudolph.
Predeceased by her loving father William “Buddy” Russell and step-father Wayne Milligan.
Lynn will be remembered for her loving devotion to the care of our mother Barbara, providing daily visits that brought much comfort to mom.
They would spend hours doing puzzles, crafts and activities that brought our mother great joy.
Lynn was a dedicated employee of CIBC for many years in Oshawa.
Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa on Tuesday December 19, 2023 from 12 – 1 pm.

It's with a heavy heart we sadly say goodbye to our mother who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 3, 2023.
She was the proud Nana of 8 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Passed peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
Betty was the second oldest of the five children of Thomas Henry and Frances Bracegirdle.
Predeceased by Sheila, Walter, and Barbara. She is survived by her younger brother Thomas (Tommy) who recently visited her for a month shortly before her passing.
Also survived by her niece Marilyn & her husband Jimmy (Jim Bob) her “favourite” brother in law Barry and sister in law Ann, and her large extended family in the UK who she would visit regularly.
She was born in a small town, in the north-east of England. Betty married her late husband Bill on January 1st 1954.
Together they had their only child, Sheila, and were happily married for 25 years until Bills passing on March 25 1979.
Betty worked for many years in the hospital system as a nursing assistant in Bishop Auckland.
Betty’s only child Sheila married Kim Ormond on June 26 1982.
After retiring and becoming a widow, Betty found a new purpose in life in helping to raise her grandchildren Bradley and Stuart, who became her whole world. The family eventually relocated to Canada in 1991.
Betty left behind her entire life in the UK, to move to Canada to support her daughter Sheila and help raise her grandsons. In Canada the family grew and Betty is survived by daughter Sheila Ormond, son in law Kim Ormond, grandson Bradley James Ormond, his wife Barbara and their son Elliot, and grandson Stuart Nicholas Ormond, his wife Anita and their sons Myles, Micah, and Malachi.
She will be deeply missed by members of her family in Canada, England and Southern Ireland.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at the McEachnie Family Centre, 20 Church St. N, on Thursday, December 7th , 2023 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Richard Bruce Dean Gill of Ajax, Ontario on Wednesday November 29, 2023, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Bruce died at the age of 72 years, after a lengthy struggle with his health.
Bruce was a cherished and loving husband of Janice Gill nee Armstrong of 43 years and proud father of Eric Gill.
He will be greatly missed by his siblings; Barbara (Jim) Abercrombie, Richard (Jan) Gill, Megan Gill, Mari Gill-Eyers (Dan-predeceased), brother-in-law Adrian VanderWielen, Bruce Armstrong, sister -in- law Alice Armstrong and his many nieces and nephews.
Bruce was predeceased by his father Dr. Peter Gill and mother Dr. Norma Gill nee Dean. Bruce was always ready and willing to help his friends and family in need.
Bruce had many hobbies.
He will also be missed by his Filk family and record collecting friends.
He was an avid follower of sports; watching the games and keeping up with the statistics.
The backyard birds and critters were a constant source of joy and entertainment for him.
After retiring from a career in toy sales warehouse management; Bruce spent time assisting with the cat rescue, Second Chance Wildlife Sanctuary and adopted a cat of his own (Vinnie) whom he rescued as a stray.
Celebration of Life will follow at a date to be determined.

Gramps fought hard but lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday November 28th , 2023.
Leaving behind his wife of 53 years, Ruthe (nee Henderson), children Kaiti and Paul, Adam and Alex, (predeceased by Kyle) and Tracy, Melissa and Mark and his sister Jill.
Gramps was loved by his 8 grandchildren: Margot, Monaco, Lachlan, Ainslie, Jorja, Jasper, Maisie and Ava.
Gramps could be heard clapping, ringing the cowbell and cheering for hockey, skating, soccer and at the race track. He himself was a lover of fast cars.
Happy to treat any and all spectators to hot chocolate and fuzzy peaches.
Brian was always thrilled to catch up with past BHS graduates and staff after teaching there throughout his entire career, book lovers at the Kirby Church Bookstore or anyone with a story from old Bowmanville.
He has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who will always remember his kindness.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Orono Figure Skating Club or to the Kirby Church Bookstore (Brian was looking forward to the new windows and the preservation of the Kirby Church) or to the charity of your choice.
