It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diana Robb at the age of 61.
Diana passed away on December 23rd, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, after a very short and aggressive battle with Lung Cancer.
Diana also leaves behind her two grandsons Nolan Alexander Porter and Liam Anthony Porter.
Diana’s legacy will live on through her three beloved children Allan Matthew Hendry, Christopher Jamie Robb, and Sarah Nicole Robb.
She spent much of her time with her children and grandchildren, and cherished every second of it. Diana is predeceased by her parents Shirley Doreen Newman and Donald Bruce Newman, as well as her late brother Joseph Wayne Newman.
Born in Collingwood, Ontario she loved spending summers in Bancroft, Ontario on Baptiste Lake with her family. She later would continue that tradition with her own children, as well as her grandson Nolan.
The family shared many beautiful memories while camping, cottaging, and travelling on family vacations. Her memorable laugh can now only be heard by looking at photographs.
Diana was a devout Christian who loved reading and researching, and spent much of her free time actively taking part in the communities which she felt strongly about. In the last couple of years, Diana retired from her rewarding career at The Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Fortunately, this enabled Diana to spend cherished time with her friends and family prior or her passing.
Diana’s ever glowing light was one that shone on so many people. Her kindness, generosity and affectionate soul was a gift to all those whom she loved, and will be forever cherished by all those who knew and loved her.
Diana was taken too soon and will be terribly missed by family, friends, and anybody who had the pleasure of knowing her. A special thank you to the amazing oncology team at the Markham Stoufville Hospital and to all of those who supported her and her family through this difficult illness.
A very special thank you to all of those who contributed with prayers and donations. Your kindness will always be kept close to Diana’s family’s hearts.
An even bigger thank you to Diana’s brothers and sisters, and their spouses, for their incredibly selfless and unwavering love and support as they assisted Diana through this incredibly difficult time.
They truly encompassed what it means to be family.
