It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lila Deana Wright (nee Jamieson), at the age of 79, on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023 at London Health Sciences Centre.

Deana is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Geddes (Dave) and Melissa Farkas (Sandor), ex-husband Robert Wright (Joan), and her four beautiful grandchildren Shannon, Rachael, Alexander, and Olivia.

She was a devoted partner, having shared many years of companionship with Frank Reilly, who predeceased her in 2021.

Deana was a free spirit that created beautifully curated homes that were often filled with parties and laughter. She loved traveling, attending the theatre, gardening and entertaining. Holidays and special occasions were always made more memorable by her presence and her signature “Deana style”.

Deana could tackle anything she put her mind to; she was continuously taking on new business adventures, such as her Carnegie Hall Manor B&B in Oshawa. Since joining the local Probus chapter in London, she enjoyed meeting new acquaintances and going to their social events.

She took pleasure in the finer things in life and was immensely proud of all of her life’s accomplishments, starting from her Haudenosaunee beginnings. Her lifelong friends Anne Cook and Judy Self will attest to her determination and Carpe Diem attitude toward life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial in celebration of Deana on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME , located at 124 King Street East in Oshawa.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment to immediately follow memorial service at Union Cemetery, located at 760 King Street West in Oshawa.

A memorial webcast will also be available for loved ones not in attendance.
