With heavy hearts we said goodbye to our wife, mom, Grandma, sister and friend Sheena Bracewell.

She passed in peace, October 8, 2023, surrounded by the love of those nearby and afar.

At the age of 75, she was always at the center of offering love, support and encouragement to friends, neighbours and most importantly to her family.

Sheena is survived by her loving husband David, son Craig (Heather), and grandchildren Jacob (Ashley) and Kaylee. Sheena will also be missed by her siblings Marion, Betty, Irene and dear friends.

Sheena was preceded in death by her parents Jean and James as well as brother Ronald Allen.

Sheena lived life to the fullest; enjoying walks along the Ajax waterfront, yoga, cheering on Toronto sports teams and most of all time spending time with her friends and family.

The family wishes to welcome friends and family to gather to celebrate Sheenas life at Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax, ON, on Wednesday October 18th, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm. Cremation.

After experiencing 97 yrs of life, Shirley Anne Fisher has now entered her final journey to eternal life.

She was predeceased by her husband George, parents Clifford and Cora Ordelia Hobbs and her sister Aldeen Manson.

She is survived by her son Stephen (Julie) and daughter Kimberley (Bill) Johnson.

She was very proud of her grandchildren Brian Johnson and Michelle (Tim) Pryde, Lauren and Kyle Hillner (step-grandchildren). She was known as ‘Grand Nan’ by her great grandchildren James, Olivia, John (Pryde) and Norris (Johnson). Shirley worked at Bell Telephone, Eatons and the University of Waterloo.

She was a long time member of the Kitchener Polish Legion before moving to Whitby ON.

She loved a good party, playing cards shopping, cooking and eating lots of sweet desserts.

As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Knox Presbyterian Cemetery in Mitchell ON.

Donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to a charity of your choice or she would love if you would do something kind for someone.

Shirley, unexpectedly, set off for her final trip on Saturday October 7th, 2023.

She Left Behind her loving husband of 60 years, Julius, and her many friends.

Her greatest passions were teaching and travel. she Encouraged her students to take education seriously, especially history and English.

When former students came to visit her, she was extremely thrilled with their fond remembrances and their accomplishments in life.

Julius and she visited every continent except Antarctica and most of the Seven Seas. The Kenya Safari to view the animals in the wild was her favourite expedition.

As Per her wishes, there will be an intimate graveside service at a later date.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stewart William Bray on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the age of 101 years & 363 days (almost 102 years) after a long well lived life.

Devoted husband to his sweetheart June Muriel Sutcliffe (deceased) for 73 years (Sept. 29, 1945 to Nov. 2018).

Cherished father to 7 children, Linda Wagg (Grant), Carol Dayes, David Bray (Doris), Nancy Read, Gordon Bray (Gabriel), Marlene Trewin (Earle) and Barbara Bartle (David -deceased).

Admired & respected Grandpa to 19, Great Grandpa to 11 & Great Great Grandpa to 1.

Stewart was born on October 7, 1921, the sixth of 10 children born to John Bray & Maud Cook.

He was predeceased by his 9 siblings, Rita Cook, Harold Bray, Dorothy McDiarmid, Jack Bray, Marjorie Bray, Earl Bray, Verna Attwood, Noreen Phillips-Prouse and Jean Lamb. Uncle to many nieces & nephews & a good friend to many of his cousins & acquaintances.

He grew up in the Raglan & Prospect area and worked on the family farm on the Ridges north of Raglan.

Stewart served in World War II from 1943 to 1945 with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (RHLI) and he was wounded in France when he stepped on a landmine. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Branches 419 Port Perry & 141 Sunderland) for 78 years and he was the Poppy Chairman for 6 years.

One proud moment of his military service was being a member of the Guard of Honour for King George VI. He was recently presented with the RHLI Commanding Officer's Coin and a Quilt from Quilts of Valour.

In the Winter of 1948 Stewart & June purchased the farm next door to his parents on the Ridges and farmed until 1988 (40 years) when they sold the farm to Gordon and Gabriel. They then lived in Sunderland for 18 years, Port Perry for 15 years and The Court at Brooklin Retirement residence for 2.5 years. Stewart also worked at General Motors for 31.6 years.

After a short retirement he then worked for the City of Oshawa as a weed inspector, delivered mail, was a handyman for Trewin Farm Equipment, helped out at the family farm and did volunteer work driving people to hospital appointments.

Stewart's legacy will live on in the memories of his family. The Family of Stewart Bray will receive friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, on Wednesday, October 11th from 6 – 8 p.m. and Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 10:30 - 11:30 a Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment, Prince Albert. A reception will follow at the Port Perry Legion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to War Amps Canada, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 419 Poppy Fund, or the Port Perry Hospital Foundation. .

Sheron Campbell, beloved daughter of Roy Brooks and Almena Syblis, was born on June 3rd, 1961, in Hanover, Jamaica.

She peacefully passed away on October 1st, 2023, in Toronto, Canada.

Sheron embarked on her journey to Canada at the tender age of 21, seizing an opportunity as a cook on a tall ship bound for the Canadian shores.

In 1987, she joined her life with Leebert Campbell in matrimony, and together they raised three wonderful children: Nathan, Nathalee, and Natoya Campbell.

Sheron is survived by her devoted spouse, three loving children, her cherished daughter-in-law, Alysha Campbell, her respected son-in-law, Travis Collington, and two precious grandsons, Ayden Collington and Heron Campbell.

For over 25 years, Sheron dedicated her life to the role of a Personal Support Worker (PSW), where her unwavering commitment brought comfort and solace to those who needed it most.

Sheron was a daughter, a sister, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, a beloved aunt, a cherished great-aunt, and a loyal friend. Her legacy is one of boundless compassion, unfaltering kindness, unparalleled generosity, and infectious joy.

She will forever be remembered for her culinary talents, her love for dance, her passion for music, and above all, her profound love for her family and friends.

A visitation to pay respects and celebrate Sheron's life has been scheduled at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on October 20th, from 4pm to 8pm. Her funeral service will be held at GRACE LIFE CENTRE, 801 Progress Ave, Scarborough, on October 21st, commencing at 11am.

Sheron's memory will forever live on in our hearts, as we carry forward the love and warmth she shared with us all.

Sylvie will be sadly missed by her partner Steve Antal.

Sylvie loved singing and dancing to all types of music.

She was very artistic, loved to laugh, and had a big heart. Sylvie was known as the "neighborhood Mom" who never turned her back on a kid in need often opening her home and her heart to those who needed it.

Amongst a bed of roses, Sylvie was a wildflower who always stood up for what she believed in.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 12pm – 1pm at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME

Very special Uncle to Kennedy (Joanne) Stuart and Michael Mac Inally. Ron will be fondly remembered by his nieces Cheryl and Caitlin, his nephew Jack, and his great nephews Gregory and Phillip. He will be greatly missed by Remy, his ever faithful and constant canine companion.

Ron’s presence was inspiring and his fight to stay with us was unsurmountable.

Ron woke up every morning with a smile on his face and jokes to brighten our day. His huge infectious laughter, sense of humour, and charm will be forever etched in our minds and hearts.

On October 1, 2023, Sheena Drummond-Seal passed away peacefully, with her daughter Jana by her side.

Sheena was born in Ireland on July 24, 1940 and emigrated to Canada after the Second World War.

She grew up in Toronto with her beloved parents Jean (Eliza Jane) and Allan Neil Drummond, and sisters Sandie and Noreen.

She met her former husband, David Seal while working at Oxtongue Lake and spent many wonderful summers at the family cottage there.

Sheena loved life and passionately embraced new experiences.

She started her career as a nurse, working at North York General Hospital for over 20 years.

Then she moved to teaching with the Toronto District School Board when most people start thinking about retirement!

She enjoyed travelling, gardening, and explored many hobbies to express her creativity.

Sheena touched many lives with her energy and light.

She will be especially missed by her loving daughter Jana and son-in-law Mike, and her treasured grandchildren, Logan and McKinley. Her cherished sisters, Sandie (Dean) and Noreen (Herbert), her nieces and nephews - Rachel (Steven), Elizabeth (Wayne), Catherine (Scott), Sandy (Jeff), Heath (Gabriella), Jason (Joanne) - and their families, her brother-in-law, Donald Seal, as well as her extended family and friends will deeply miss her colourful personality and her spirit.

Sheena is also survived by her son, David Seal and his family Joanne, Emily and Laura. Special thank you to the amazing nurses (Andrea and Emma) at the Lakeridge Health (Oshawa) Critical Care Unit.

As a result of an accident. Sherri Lou Fronte (nee Ritchie) passed into the Spirit World on July 11th, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital.

Sherri was surrounded by the love of her mother, Joan Marilyn Ritchie, her sister, Kelly Ann Drysdale, her son, Michael Joseph Fronte, and her best friend, Debbie Cameron.

Sherri was predeceased by her sister, Lynn Lee Ritchie. Sherri was the loving mother of two sons, Michael Joseph Fronte and Jonathan Michael Fronte.

Sherri adored her grandchildren, Anthony, Emily, Copelynn and Victoria; she was happiest when they were with her.

Sherri had many talents. She was an avid reader and researcher.

An excellent writer. A flair for the Arts - sketching, painting and colouring with pencil crayons. She also enjoyed needlework knitting and crocheting.

Sherri will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
