Barbara Ann Doupe
Passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 83.
Daughter of the late Ada Fielding. Loving wife of 64 years of Everett Doupe.
Cherished mother of Robert (Brenda), and Barbie (Todd) Bartley.
Beloved grandmother of Troy, Steven, Heather, Brent, and the late Ryan, and great grandmother of Tyson.
Barb will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
The Family of Barbara Doupe will receive friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, on Friday, September 8th from 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, September 9th at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Prince Albert.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #419 Poppy Fund in Port Perry, or a charity of your choice.
Barbara May Brown
Peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, at age 91.
Barbara May (nee Oliver) was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Carothers Brown of Cannington.
Loved mother of Tom Brown (deceased), Mary (Stephen) Cosburn and George (Donna) Brown. Loving grandmother of Robert (Kayla), Patrick, Heather May (Mark) Powell and Carling (Bret) and great grandmother of Olivia, Seeley (Myles), Violet and Linden.
Rested at the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington. Private interment.

Bruce Taylor
December 5, 1951 - August 25, 2023
It is with immeasurable sadness that the Taylor family shares the sudden and unexpected death of Bruce Russell Taylor.
He was a gentle giant and the rock for each of us. He was an example of strength, integrity, intelligence, humour and unconditional love.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Pat (Lepard) of 48 years; his children David (Kristy), Christopher (Autumn), and Adam (Kira).
He will also be sorely missed by his sister Janice (Larry); and his cherished grandchildren Isaac, Benjamin, Callum, Samantha, Jack, Mason and Stella.
We were honoured to have had Bruce in our lives and will carry him in our hearts forever.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Thursday, August 31st.
Masonic memorial service to take place at 11:00 a.m. - all are welcome to attend. Visitation to take place at 12:00 p.m. Celebration of Life to take place at 1:00 p.m. Dress is business casual.

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Ajax on Saturday August 26th, 2023 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by her loving husband Edwin (1998).
Cherished Mom of Julie Fowlie and her husband Chris of Brooklin.
Much loved Nanny of Nicholas (Kara) and Rachel (Sam).
Predeceased by her brother Brian and survived by her sister-in-law Christine.
Brenda will be remembered by her nephews Andrew and Robert and nieces Sarah and Cathy as well as extended family in England and Canada.

Brother Paul Desmarais
Jesuit 1945 - 2023
Paul A. Desmarais of the Society of Jesus died on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at René Goupil House in Pickering, ON.
Paul, the son of Edward Desmarais and Harriet Desmarais, was born in Windsor, Ontario.
He was 78 years old and in his 60th year as a Jesuit. Most of his Jesuit life was spent in Zambia, where Canadian Jesuits were stationed.
Paul came from a farming family and studied agriculture at the University of Guelph and for the next half century, he applied his energy and knowledge of agriculture for the benefit of the Zambian community.
A principal innovation was to switch from chemical-oriented farming to 100% organic farming. In 2014, the centre he helped to found, the Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre (KATC), was chosen by the United Nations Development Program as one of twenty-five outstanding sustainable development initiatives around the globe.
Paul ended his 40-year tenure as KATC director in 2020 and began working as director of its new diploma program on organic agriculture. Discovery of a brain tumour in 2022 brought him back to Canada for his final year of life. He is survived by his brother Charles and sisters Therese & Annette.
Visitation at St. Ignatius Chapel, Manresa: Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre, 2325 Liverpool Road, Pickering, on Monday, August 28th from 7-9 p.m. with prayer service at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St Ignatius Chapel (Manresa) Pickering, on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023 at 10.30 a.m., followed by burial at the Jesuit Cemetery in Guelph at 2:30 p.m.

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday August 17th, 2023 at the age of 77.
Loved wife of the late Brendan (2017). Cherished Mum of Karen Hifawi and her husband Sam of Toronto and Kathy McGhee and her husband Martin of Oshawa.
Predeceased by her sons Brendan Jr., Paul and Martin.
Much loved Nana of Joseph, Jonathan, Megan, Jade, Aidan, Kieran, Abbey and Emma. Great Nana of Orla.
Dearest sister of Brighid, Ted, Kate, Mona and Aidan. Predeceased by her brother Pearse. Bernadette will be fondly remembered by the extended McGrath family.

Barbara (nee Fairey) Masters
Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday August 14th, 2023 at the age of 87 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Kim Hamilton (Stephen) and Geoffrey Masters.
Cherished grandma to Kristin, Steffanie (Kyle), Chase (Sarah), Chad (Sam), Taila, Corey (Sarah), Kyle, Kurtis and Matthew and great-grandma of Rhett, Ty, Sadie, Dillon, Caleb, Caleb, Carter, Cameron, Rhett, Justin, Wes & Pierce.
She will be sadly missed by her longtime partner Murray Walton and Brother Robert (Barbara).
Barb was predeceased by her son, Christopher; parents Jeane & Ernest Fairey and brother Edward (Ted) Fairey.
At Barb’s request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Bowmanville Cemetery on Thursday August 24th at 2 pm, where she will be interred with her son. .

June 4, 1947 - August 1, 2023
Passed away at home, on August 1, 2023, at the age of 76.
She is now reunited with the love of her life, her husband Nicolaas.
Cherished mother of Nikki VanKesteren (Kevin McCrea) and Tyler VanKesteren (Jess Ingram).
Devoted Mema of Nicola VanKestern, Taylor Downer, and Victoria Simmons-McCrea.
Will be missed by her honourary daughter Marie-Claire Robson and her daughter Mabel.
Bonnie will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
Bonnie loved spending her time with her grandchildren and playing Bingo with her friends.

Passed away on Thursday July 20, 2023 at the age of 79, with his family by his side, Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Beloved partner of Joy Czap.
Predeceased by his father Clare, and recently by his mom Ruth Hornby on May 7, 2023 in her 103rd year.
Dear father of Trevor and his partner Dakota and family granddaughter Grace, her mom Larissa, and Phillip and Dana.
Barry grew up in College Hill and had a lifelong love of cars which led him to his career in automotive supply – he was a longtime employee of WR Chapman Auto Parts and Carquest Auto Parts.
At the request of the family, no services will be held.
Cremation has taken place.
