Passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 83.
Daughter of the late Ada Fielding. Loving wife of 64 years of Everett Doupe.
Cherished mother of Robert (Brenda), and Barbie (Todd) Bartley.
Beloved grandmother of Troy, Steven, Heather, Brent, and the late Ryan, and great grandmother of Tyson.

It is with immeasurable sadness that the Taylor family shares the sudden and unexpected death of Bruce Russell Taylor.
He was a gentle giant and the rock for each of us. He was an example of strength, integrity, intelligence, humour and unconditional love.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Pat (Lepard) of 48 years; his children David (Kristy), Christopher (Autumn), and Adam (Kira).
He will also be sorely missed by his sister Janice (Larry); and his cherished grandchildren Isaac, Benjamin, Callum, Samantha, Jack, Mason and Stella.
We were honoured to have had Bruce in our lives and will carry him in our hearts forever.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Thursday, August 31st.

Jesuit 1945 - 2023
Paul A. Desmarais of the Society of Jesus died on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at René Goupil House in Pickering, ON.
Paul, the son of Edward Desmarais and Harriet Desmarais, was born in Windsor, Ontario.
He was 78 years old and in his 60th year as a Jesuit. Most of his Jesuit life was spent in Zambia, where Canadian Jesuits were stationed.
Paul came from a farming family and studied agriculture at the University of Guelph and for the next half century, he applied his energy and knowledge of agriculture for the benefit of the Zambian community.
A principal innovation was to switch from chemical-oriented farming to 100% organic farming. In 2014, the centre he helped to found, the Kasisi Agricultural Training Centre (KATC), was chosen by the United Nations Development Program as one of twenty-five outstanding sustainable development initiatives around the globe.
Paul ended his 40-year tenure as KATC director in 2020 and began working as director of its new diploma program on organic agriculture. Discovery of a brain tumour in 2022 brought him back to Canada for his final year of life. He is survived by his brother Charles and sisters Therese & Annette.

Barry grew up in College Hill and had a lifelong love of cars which led him to his career in automotive supply – he was a longtime employee of WR Chapman Auto Parts and Carquest Auto Parts.
At the request of the family, no services will be held.
