Bozidar (‘Bob’) Muzanovic
June 13, 1939 - July 19, 2023
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday July 19th at Lakeridge Health Ajax at the age of 84.
He is survived by his son Alexander (Jennifer), and his grandchildren Jill and A.J.. Bozidar will be remembered by his Niece Denis (Mirsad), his nephew Darko (Linda), and his brother in-law Horst (Gudrun).
Bozidar was the loving husband of his wife Rolanda (nee Keplinger), who passed away on November 19, 2019.
Bozidar was born in 1939 the Dalmatia region of what is now Croatia, grew up in the small village of Dragove, and was the youngest of five children.
He spent between the ages of 2 to 5 in a refugee camp in El Shatt, Egypt, fleeing the war. Bozidar met Rolanda while she was on vacation in Croatia.
Together, they immigrated to Canada in 1968 and married soon after.
Bozidar worked in factories including 30 years at General Motors in Scarborough and Oshawa, from which he retired. He worked long hours to build a better life, but always found time to spend with his family.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, rowing, country drives, long walks as well as watching wrestling and soccer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
Brian Boyd
APRIL 14, 1941 – JULY 19, 2023
Passed away peacefully at his residence with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday July 19th, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
Dearly beloved husband of Janice.
Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Brian was an avid soccer fan and loved travelling the world with his beloved Janice.

Brent Ian Gardiner
September 30, 1970 – July 15, 2023
Brent passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday July 15, 2023.
Son of Charles (Chuck) Gardiner (Predeceased) and Donna Gardiner (nee Carlin).
He will be dearly missed by his sister Sheila Gardiner and by his unofficially adopted sister Heather Hoover (nee Fenson).
Pre-deceased by his twin brother Cory Gardiner, and by his sister Karen Gardiner.
Cherished uncle and great uncle to Debbie (John) Eade, Jay (Corrie) Minns, Alicia Comer, PJ Comer (Jessica), Lance, Jack, Kaleb, Cyrus, Caspian, Whitney, Kyla, Serena, Aiden, Mackenzie, Scott, Michael, Ruby, Ronan, Autumn, and Summer.
He will be missed by many extended family and friends. Special thanks to all the health care providers at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, and Toronto Western Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 26th at the Beaverton Royal Canadian Legion from 1-4P.M.

Barbara Sproule
Passed peacefully on Thursday 13 July in her 97th year.
She was born in Buffalo NY 18 February 1926 to parents Robert M. Rennie and Helen C. Rennie (Duncan).
She met her husband, W. Donald Sproule, while vacationing in the Kawarthas and they were married 1961 and moved to Buffalo.
They relocated to Scarborough in 1976.
Barbara was a graduate of Kenmore High School (NY) class of 1944.
She was a telephone operator for NY Telephone from 1948-1961, and returned to work later as an operator at Hospital for Sick Children, 1976-1991.
Barbara loved reading, especially British mysteries, and usually had a stack of library books at all times. She and Don travelled to Britain and Europe several times to explore cities, museums and history. She was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church and loved her Fallingbrook Church community.
She is survived by her children Christina (Allen) Davis, Duncan Sproule (Amy) and Bruce Sproule (Lisa) and by grandchildren Benjamin, Orson, Zoey, Abigail and Colin and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, husband, sister Peggy and brother-in-law Walter Bickerton and nephew William (Bill) Bickerton.
A funeral service will be held at Fallingbrook Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11:30 am. Internment will be at a later date in her beloved hometown of Tonawanda NY with her husband and other family members.

Beverley A. Dillon
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Ajax on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the age of 75.
Beverley is predeceased by her beloved husband Steve Dillon.
Loving mother of Niecy (Chris) and Matt (Christina).
Cherished grandma of Jessica (Wynnzlow), Brianna (Mike), Alexa, Jacob, Katelyn, and Olivia.
Beverley will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her extended family and many friends.
A time to Celebrate Beverley’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 30th from 2:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby.

Bernard “Bernie” McGriskin

Our family announces with great sadness the passing of Bernard McGriskin.
"Bernie" passed away peacefully, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Lakeridge Bowmanville Hospital, at the age of 86.
Bernie was predeceased by his parents, Mildred (nee Conner) and Leo McGriskin.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy. Dearly beloved brother of Frances (John) Found and Paul McGriskin (Brenda).
Proud father of Marlene and Jill (John) from his first marriage to Françoise Cartier; along with his grandchildren, Chantelle and Dustin.
Bernie also leaves behind his step- children, Sheri Harrison, Stephen Case (Joanne), Mark Case (Lisa), and the late Randy Case; as well as step-grandchildren, Gregory, Sarah, Rashel (Steven), Ryan, Haley; and step-great-grandchildren.
Bernie leaves behind a large extended family, and many friends and former co-workers from the Markham and Durham Region areas. Bernie was loved by many and will be forever missed.
Visitation was held at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 12–2 p.m. Interment followed at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 355 Taunton Road East, Whitby.
