Carl Layton
Suddenly on Wednesday July 26th, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Carl Layton (Sam) passed away peacefully in his 89th year.
Carl was predeceased by his loving wife Darylene.
He is fondly remembered by his children Janet & Gary McMinn, Robert Layton & the late Boni, Carla and John Osier.
Pappy will be missed by his grandchildren Shannon, Ashley, Brittany, Eric and Sarah and great grandchild Olivia.
Survived by Wayne, late Doug (late Marie), late Jack, and survived by Marlene (late John), Doreen and Wayne. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Carl was a dedicated employee at General Motors for 40.6 years. He was also involved in the community as a baseball coach and coached many kids for Bathe Park.
Carl (Sam) loved the simple life and taught us many lessons about how to live in today's busy world.
His pleasures included weekly trips to White Feather Farms fresh eggs, Linton Farms fresh produce or Hy Hope's homemade breads and never missed a week at the OC farmers market in the summer months.
To finish a day off it was either a coffee at the lakefront or once in a while some fries from the chip truck on Bloor!
He loved Oshawa, it was home!
We love you and will miss you Pappy so very much!
At Carl's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
Claudette Grace Thompson-Kelly
July 27, 1951 - June 28, 2023
Claudette Grace Thompson-Kelly of Scarborough, Ontario was born on July 27, 1951, in Jamaica, West Indies.
She died on June 28 2023, after a lengthy illness.
Claudette leaves behind her beloved son, Nicolai, Mother, Pearl Thompson, 5 sisters, 4 brothers, an uncle, several nieces and nephews, many cherished in laws and friends.
To honour Claudette's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held for her on July 28, 2023 at 10:00am at The SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE - PICKERING , 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, ON, L1W 3T7.
Her family appreciates and thanks the many who have thoughtfully and kindly reached out to show care and support during this difficult time.

Dear sister of Patti, Rosemary, Gerald, Eddie, Frank and the late Jean and Janet. Carol will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Passed away peacefully at home with family by her side after a courageous battle on Sunday July 16th, 2023 at the age of 64 years.
Dearly beloved wife of Terry, 42 years married.
Loving mother of Ashley Chupa (Ben), and Courtney Metcalf ( Andrew). Cherished Gramanama of Ava, Madelyn, Emma, and Isabelle. Dear daughter of Marilyn Roberts - Shaw (Christopher), and Richard Roberts.
Sister of Pamela Roberts, Valerie de Moore, Jay Roberts (Sherri), Mark Roberts (Shelley).
Will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Cheryl will be remembered for her dedication to her family and for her caring nature with children. She was an avid crafter, baker, sewer and thrifter.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King St. W., on Thursday July 27th, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm. A Private Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.

It is with great sorrow that our family announces the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Carolina Pulla, on July 15, 2023 at 88 years of age.
Carolina (Tina) was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Mario Pulla. She was the cherished mother of Gabriella Pulla and Joann Berlino (Rocco), loving Nonna of Anna-Marie Sutherland (Tim), Christina Vaughan (Christopher), Carlie and Tessie Pulla-Chin; Great Grandmother to Cayden and Kelton Sutherland and Madalynn and Ava Vaughan.
Carolina was a strong, wise and brave woman. She will be remembered fondly by her extended family and dear friends as well as the staff at Windfields retirement home.

Curtis “Danny” Densley Donaldson, age 78, of Scarborough sadly left us on June 27th, 2023 following a long illness.
He was born to parents, Stanley Nathaniel Donaldson and Mavis Agatha Donaldson, on February 25, 1945 in Clarendon, Jamaica.
He is survived by his lovely wife Linda Joseph, sons Perry and Ricky, grandson Aidan Donaldson, siblings Glenis, Caroline, Valda, Melvina, Curtell, Worrell, and Clinton as well as a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
Danny is predeceased by his brother Earl and his parents.

Passed away peacefully in his 91st year at Hospice Peterborough.
Predeceased by his wife Beverley of 65 years. Devoted father of Diane (Dean), Mike (Sheila), and Pat (Mike).
Loving grandfather of Ryan (Kelly), Jena (Mark), Jordan (Sara), Dana (Jacob), Justin (Rebecca), and Nathan (Meaghann).
Proud great grandfather of Amelia, Bennett and Cooper.
Predeceased by his parents George and Mary Carey, and his siblings Jerry, Anna, Stan and Ron.
Carl lived a good long life and made many sacrifices to benefit his family. Carl and Beverley loved to travel the world on their many cruises. He spent many years volunteering and spending quality time with family and friends telling stories.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held.

Cosmo was a strong, loving family oriented man who always had a warm smile.
He had an extreme passion for fishing, gardening, reading and bowling.
