It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Mattson on December 18, 2022 at Thorntonview Nursing Home in Oshawa, at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of the late Jack Mattson and loving sister of Helen Hamilton, Feona Feeney and her husband Roger and Cameron Merriweather, loving sister-in-law of Roger Mattson and his wife Marlene.
Elizabeth was a loving, friendly, independent woman who made her career as an RN providing care to others as her life work.
She was a good friend and had a wonderful sense of humour, always bringing her cheerful ways to her friends.
Elizabeth was well loved by many friends and family and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. at McEachnie Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.

It is with great sorrow and regret we announce the passing of our Mother ‘Elsie May Jenkins’ on Dec. 14, 2022 at Winchester Glen Retirement Community.
Mom was predeceased by her husband John (Jack), by her parents Hilda and Thomas Etches, her brother Ron (Jeanette) and her sisters Lillian (John deceased) and Joan (Bud).
She is survived by her brothers Rick (Fay deceased), Don, Tom (Sandy), Wayne (Mary), her sister Gloria (Archie), her 8 children John (Jack) (Janet deceased), Ron (Bonnie), Mike (Lori), Debbie (Jack), David (Fran), Tammy (Larry), Chris (Michelle) and Carol (Chris), her 14 grand children Mathew (Michelle), Amy (Glenn), Luke (Monica), Ashley (Lucas), Rob, Kyle, Lynda (Paul), Josh (Mariah), David (Courtney), Sarah (Richard), Jeffery (Lori), Brad (Corina), Curtis, Blaine (Cecilia) and her 26 great grand children ….. Rocky, Olivia, Mia, Maddox, Madison, Carter, Alexis, Ryker, Brooke, Rylee, James, Lucas, Dakota, Kennedy, Jeremy, Colton, Lily, Cassandra, Tegan, Makayla, Jack, Finn, Etney, Ashlynn, Easton, Ellis,…. And Mom’s very close friendship with Keith and Lynda Jones and their children Adam, Neil, Ashley and Matt.
A special thanks to all of the staff at Winchester Glen who were so wonderful to Mom.
Also, thank you to Durham region EMS staff, Oshawa, Bowmanville and Port Perry hospitals, Dr. Woods, Dr. Dionne, Dr. Li and Dr. Ho.
Mom was an amazing Mother and person. She navigated life’s challenges with dignity, she was incredibly generous and touched so many lives in her working career, her church work, her work in politics and her neighbours.
Visitation will be held on Saturday December 17th from 5pm to 8pm followed by a Celebration of Elsie’s Life on Sunday December 18th from 12pm to 3pm.

Passed away at St, Michaels Hospital, Toronto on Thursday December 1st, 2022 at the age of 82.
Predeceased by her husband William John Boyd (1997), and survived by her son Stephen Boyd, and her daughter Suzanne Visser (Jim), brothers Blair Johnston (Catherine), and Bruce Johnston (Allison).
Loving friend of Don Lintner.Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Erin, Peter, Elise, Craig, and Evan, and her Great-Grand children- Grace, Charlotte, Rosie, McKinnon, and William.
Betty was passionate about giving back to her community and spent countless hours volunteering, and knitting sweaters for the Whitby Seniors Centre, St Marks United Church bazars, and any one of her many grandchildren.

Ehsan Asaad Bishay was born to the late Asaad and survived by his loving mother, Victoria, in Egypt.
He was immersed in the Christian faith from a young age, which would be one of his most proud and cherished traits.
Ehsan, known to many as Sam, was blessed with a large and loving family.
He married his first love, Ioanna Bishay, on January 13, 1987 in Cairo, Egypt. Ehsan helped raise his three children with love, faith, selflessness and trust.
He taught them about Jesus, unconditional love, the importance of family, fishing, and often took them on family trips all over the world.
His favourite trips were ones in an RV, driving together to Florida and all over North America.
Ehsan was an educated, hard working, loving and successful businessman who spent his entire life putting others first and always loved spreading the word of God any chance he got.
He always made time for others and lived his life as a role model for his children who he loved more than anything. He will be dearly missed by his entire family and loved ones.
Ehsan is survived by his wife, Ioanna Bishay, his sons, Mena and George (Olivia); his daughter Christina; his grandchild Rome; his brother Nabil; his sister Iris and his mother Victoria.
He is preceded in death by his father Asaad and his loving brother Amir.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 1, 2022 and Friday, December 2, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax. Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, 455 Ferrier Street, Markham at 11:30 a.m.
Passed peacefully at Carriage House Retirement Residence on Tuesday November 22, 2022 in his 95th year after a brief battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his loving wife Fern and remembered by his sons Robert (Susan) and David and stepdaughters Ann, Lynda (Steve) and Janet.
Proud grandfather of Angela (Scott), Stephanie (Warren) and Jason and niece Kelsey (Nigel) and great grandfather of Keira, Olive, Kirsten and Maxx, great grandfather of Colton and Ellie.
Ed was a proud member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 46 for 75 years.

Passed away after a brief illness at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough on Friday November 19th, 2022 just weeks before her 81st birthday.
Survived and always loved by her children and grandchildren.

Elena will be repatriated to her home country of Macedonia where she will be laid to rest with her husband.

It is with deep sadness that the O’Beirn family announces the passing of Ed O’Beirn, at Uxbridge Hospital on Saturday, November 12th, 2022, in his 86th year.
Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Mary, brother, Daniel and sisters Joan and Sharon.
Cherished brother to Eugene (Valerie), Mary Ann (late Alfred), Alice (Cam), Margaret (Lorne), Paul, Patricia (Tom), Frances (Frank), Cecilia (Don), Denise (Bill) and Shawn (Jackie).
Wonderful uncle and great uncle to many nephews and nieces.
He will be missed by his many cousins, golfing and curling friends, former colleagues at Glitsch, and parishioners at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Born in Capreol, a small town north of Sudbury, Ed lived his whole life in Uxbridge, with many of those years on the family farm, Bascom Street, and his final years at Douglas Crossing Retirement Home.
With a razor-sharp wit and always ready with a good joke, Ed will be remembered as a humble, kind, and gentle man.

A reception will follow at the church hall.
