Raymond “Smokey” Commanda
March 8, 1959 - July 29, 2023
Peacefully passed away with family by his side, on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 64.
Loving husband of the late Marie Heenan.
Cherished father of Jenny and Raymond.
Dear grandfather and great-grandfather of many.
Beloved brother of Dorothy, Gary, Priscilla, Alex, Audrey, Martina, Richard, and Sam and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Martina.
Smokey will be sadly missed by his family and his wonderful group of helpful Oshawa friends.

As per his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Robert William Griffith
October 26, 1951 - July 28, 2023
Robert passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday July 28, 2023.
Robert was born in Liverpool, England on October 26th 1951 and moved to Canada in 1987.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Vera and his loving children Karen (Doug), Amanda and Robert Jr (Amanda).
Robert was the proud and loving Grandad to Connor and Brooklyn.
Visitation will be held at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby) on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 4pm-6pm.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Ronald on July 24th, 2023.
Loving partner of Ramona.
Cherished son of Agatha.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Melina, Neil and Brandon and his grandson Masen.
He will be missed by his siblings Terry (Brenda), Bonita (Ron), Roxanne (Al), Daryl (Shelley), Kim (Gerry), Marlene (Ken) and Joe (Nicola).
He will be remembered by his mother-in-law Maureen, sisters-in-law Denise, Sharon and Alicia and his brother-in-law Andre, his uncle Frank and Brendan. He will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Richard John Fordham
June 17, 1961 - July 24, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard John Fordham announce his passing at the Uxbridge Hospital at the age of 62.
Richard will be deeply missed by his wife & forever love Deborah, his Mum (June Fordham), his daughters Lisa, Olivia (Steve), Tigan (Daniel) & Sarah (James), his stepchildren Brandy (Terry) & Daniel (Tigan), grandchildren Molly Marie, Shyana Hazel Marie, Nathan Richard George, & Vaughn Richard, brother Tony, sisters Caroline, Nicola & Joanne, his sister-in-law Lynn Campbell (Walter) & family.
He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews & many friends. Richard was predeceased by his father (Derrick John Fordham) many years ago.

Robert John Stephenson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Stephenson, age 73, peacefully at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry on July 23, 2023 after a short fight with cancer.
Bob was born in Toronto on November 17, 1949 and was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Audrey Stephenson (nee McCaughey).
He is survived by “his girls” Kristin Steves, and her husband Gerry, and Robin Suh, and her husband Dan.
He leaves 3 wonderful grandchildren, Katie, Jacob and Ben.
Bob is also survived by his dear sister, Barb Scaife.
Bob had a strong work ethic in his career of landscaping and construction.
He had tremendous pride in his beautiful gardens to showcase his huge love of plants and trees.
Bob enjoyed spending his time cheering on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date.

Robert Caughell
Passed away at home with his family on Friday, July 14, 2023 in his 92nd year.
Robert was a loving husband to Helen.
Born and raised in Port Colborne, Ontario on February 1, 1932, Robert and Helen moved to Whitby where they raised their family and Robert started his career with CP Railway.
Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Gertrude and by his son Bob (Karen).
Cherished Dad to Larry and Dave (Trudy). Adoring Grandpa to Dave (Lyndzee), Krystina (Sean), Kimberley (Jon), Jacob and Joel.
Great-Grandpa to Dylan, Jack, Blair and Callie.

Robert Pigden
(Bob 1961 - 2023)
After a courageous battle with COPD, Bob passed away peacefully at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital on July 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family and with the assistance of MAID.
Predeceased by his father William (Butch) Pigden.
Survived by his loving mother Pearl and step dad Warren Stainton brothers William (Donna) Pigden John Pigden and sister Tracy (Grant) Blair.
Loved and missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew and nieces.
Bob was a very compassionate and caring person and would of given the shirt off of his back in the middle of winter to anyone needing it.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life planned in Niagara Falls May 2024 with music and dancing as per Bob's wishes with Bob watching and dancing with us from above.
Ron “Checker” Hedges
February 4, 1940 - July 9, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron “Checker” Hedges, age 83, on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
He passed away peacefully at Port Perry Place with family by his side.
Ron is predeceased by his wife Marie and his parents Don and Marjory Hedges, he is survived by his sister Rosemary, brothers-in-law Fred (Barb), Ken (Heather) and Brian (Patricia) also many nieces and nephews.
Ron was very dedicated and passionate in his career as a grader operator for the Town of Pickering Roads Dept., he started there May 1, 1963 and retired December 31, 1999.
Ron was also very determined and enthusiastic about following in his father's footsteps as a member of the lodge at the Masonic Hall. He loved sports, even coached kids' baseball for a couple years.
He also enjoyed reading and fishing.
Special thanks to the staff at Port Perry Place for the kind and compassionate care. Ron will be sadly missed by family and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge; Visitation from 12pm to 2pm with Service immediately following at 2pm. Reception to follow service in lower level.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Ron's memory to the Claremont Legion, Branch 483.
Robert Ross McGregor
1931 - 2023
Passed away on Friday July 7th, 2023.
Predeceased by his loving wife Nancy of 64 years.
Loving father of Gavin, Colin and Susan. Loving father in law to Dawne, Lisa and Reg.
Loving grandfather to Stacey, Candace, Cory, Kristy and Connor.
Robert was in the renovation and construction business for 30 years assisted by his best helper ever – Nancy.
Both retired from active duty in 1989.
Robert was a loving father and his only claim to fame was that he was not afraid of hard work.
Robert has made his peace with God and he will be missed.
To all my friends I say “Miss Me but Let Me Go”.
