Beloved mother of Lisa (Dan) and Trevor (Debbie).

Proud grandmother of Edward (Andrea) and Anastacia (Dan) and gram-gram of 10.

Survived by her siblings Winnifred (the late Scottie), Terry (Dorothy), April and Robin (Mary) and predeceased by her siblings Warren (Doris), Wade and Clarence (Bonnie). She will be sadly missed by many other family and friends.

A special thank you to Port Perry Hospital for their continuing exceptional care.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby, ON on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12noon. Celebration of Life to follow.

Dear friend of Tom and Ellen Welsh of Bowmanville, and predeceased by his sister, Eileen Kilpatrick and nephew Art Kilpatrick. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all of his extended family and friends, both here and in Germany.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 28 at Morris Funeral Chapel from 12pm until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. Interment to follow.

Connie graduated from the University of Toronto in 1941 as an occupational therapist and worked with wounded soldiers during the war.

She loved her family, her friends, her summers at the cottage, being part of the Don Heights Unitarian church, and playing bridge, at which she was a Master. She will be much missed.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Calvin Allister Foster, age 83, of Oshawa, Ontario passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023.

He was born in Shelburne County Nova Scotia on February 21, 1939 Son of the Late Calvin Foster and Madeline Elizabeth Smith. Known for his tender heart, gracious charm and strength, he was a loving, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and dear friend.

He is survived by his loving Children. Kimberley Helen, Thomas Frederick wife Lori Ann and Trevor Michael.

Also survived by his brothers, Wendel, Dave, Mike, Laurie and Paul.

Cherished grandfather of Cody James Foster wife Maddie, Kaitlynn Elizabeth-Helen Cooper, Karri-Lynn Dianne Davie husband Branden, Hope Karina Lawson husband Rory, Parker Calvin Foster and Wyatt David Allister Foster. Great grandfather of Nolan Paul Michael Lawson, Kace Roger Edward Lawson, Mailynn Pamela Grace Lawson and Hudson Calvin Tindale Foster.

A devoted and engaged father and Grandfather, his favorite place was by the hockey arena, or baseball diamond watching his grandchildren.

He will always be their number one fan and supporter. He loved big family dinners, spending time with his grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face.

He was a generous soul, and he cherished spending time with his family telling good stories. There’s so much more about him that not even words can describe.

His infectious smile, dedication and generosity will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, January 27th from 9:30am -10:30am until time of service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m.

Carla Elisabeth DiCecco passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on January 13, 2023.

Carla was born in the Netherlands on December 22, 1956.

Her family moved to Canada in 1958 and eventually settled in Pickering Village, where she attended St. Francis de Sales School and then Pickering High School.

Carla graduated with a Bachelor of Education and worked for the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Most of her career was spent as a primary teacher at St. Theresa Shrine Catholic School. She retired from St. Nicholas Catholic School.

Throughout her life Carla loved to travel. In the later years of her career and into retirement, Carla was actively involved in the behind-the-scenes costume production and make-up departments for a number of little-theatre companies. She was very creative in so many ways.

Carla is predeceased by her husband, John, her father, Willem van den Heuvel, her brother-in-law Thomas Grainger, mother-in-law Lina DiCecco, father-in-law Louis DiCecco, sister-in-law Carmella DiCecco, and brothers-in-law Joey DiCecco and John Cwalinski.
She is survived by her loving mother, Margarete van den Heuvel.

She was the caring sister of Andy van den Heuvel (Janet), Miriam Cosentino (Jens) and Yvonne Grainger (AL).

She was a wonderful aunt to Sonja, Alycia, Nicholas, Colin, Daniel, Bennett, Noah, Tristan, David, Laurie, Leanne, Tanya, Kathy, Michael, and Elena. Beloved sister-in-law to Louise DiCecco, Vicki Cowdrey(Joe) Joanne Cwalinski, and Vince DiCecco.
