December 22, 1955 - March 11, 2023
Suddenly passed away on March 11, 2023 at home, at the age of 67.
Beloved father of Amie and Kaley Spencer (Dan).
Cherished grandfather of Cambria and Louden.
Cameron will be sadly missed by Sharon Creighton.
Brother of Cheryll Harrison, Craig Creighton (Sandy), Donna Creighton and Laureen Creighton. Dear ‘Dog Dad’ of Nora and Roxy. Predeceased by his mother Auriel.
Cameron loved to spend his time listening to music, playing guitar, and being outside in nature, camping, fishing and canoeing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:30-4 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa).

Mom will be laid to rest with Dad in the family plot following the service.

After a courageous battle, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine Mary Mansfield at the age of 64 on March 12th, 2023 at Lakeridge Health – Ajax/Pickering.
Loving and supportive wife to Joe for 36 years. Dear step-mother to Joanne and step-grandmother to Deandra.
Devoted foster mother to Tyrone. Cherished sister to Robert, Helen, Bonnie and her in-laws.
Caring aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Beloved close friend to Linda and John as well as their children Melodie and Natalie. Catherine will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.
Catherine was a generous, caring and truly loving soul. She will never be forgotten especially for her love of animals.

May 7, 1941 - March 8, 2023
Claire left us peacefully and unexpectedly in her home that she loved at Bloom Retirement Community, Oshawa on March 8th, 2023.
Claire was in her 82nd year and was predeceased by the love of her life Lawrence (Larry) Strong.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Kathy Hooey (Todd) her son Brian Strong, and her youngest daughter Kim (Rob).
Claire (Mimi) loved her grandchildren more than life itself. Mimi will be deeply missed by Garrett & Jacklyn Hooey, Logan and Gavin Strong, and Camden and Carly Stickney. Claire was the eldest of five siblings. Leona (Marcel ), Moe (Ann), Lorraine (Gerald), Gerry (predeceased Elaine) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Marg Point where they lived in Kirkland Lake. She will also be greatly missed by her mother in law Marion now in her 104 year who Marion loved as one of her own.
Claire was a kind, strong woman who loved company, dropping in for visits and a swim. They were often rewarded with a home cooked dinner. Claire had many positions in retail and was a leader of many social clubs. It will never be the same without visits or chats with Claire, but we must be strong because that is what Claire would want.
The funeral will be held at Morris Funeral Chapel Ltd, Bowmanville. Friday March 17th with a visitation 12 pm., service to follow at 2pm.

June 16, 1930 - March 5, 2023
Peacefully at Fairhaven Home in Peterborough on March 5, 2023 in her 93rd year.
Ena was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Herman and her great-grandsons Levon and Dylan.
She will be dearly missed by her children Pat (Bill), Shirley (Dave) and Michael, her grandchildren Sue (John), Kristy (Bill), Jeff (Viktoria), Kevin (Melissa), and Kelsey (Matt), her great-grandchildren Lyndsay (Aaron), Sarah, Daniel, Alex, Petra, Audrey, and Isabel as well as her great-great-grandchildren Isaac, Jack and Keaton.
She was the dear sister of Maartje and the late Ann.
Fondly remembered by her god-daughter Kathleen Lovett.
The Pytak Family will be holding a private funeral service.
Interment at MOUNT LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS.

It’s With hearts full of love and sadness that we announce Cecilia Elizabeth Bastien (nee Little) loving daughter, wife, and mother passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on March 5, 2023.
At the young age of 55.
Cecilia was predeceased by her father Eugene Little and niece / “her buddy” Emily. Survived by her mother Georgina Little.
Beloved husband of Allan for 32 years, loving mother of three children Chelsea, Austin and Carter. Companion to her dear Stella. Sister in law to Corrine (Rob), and aunt to Melissa, Mathew, Olivia (Kyle).
Fondly remembered by her many friends and extended family.
Cecilia was a true inspiration in all aspects, her fight for life was contagious. She was a warrior until the end.
She brightened any room she entered, and as she would say herself ‘you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you may just find you get what you need.’
Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville on Thursday March 9th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday March 10th at 1 pm.

We are saddened to announce that at age 82, Catherine died on March 3, 2023 at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Center.
She was predeceased by her parents Anthony (Tony) and Ruby Hasiuk, and her brother Steve Hasiuk.
She is survived by her sisters Ann Olesky, and Marie Benedict, and nieces Anne-Marie Malek, Carolyn Olesky, Cathy Breault, Marian Chopic, Kimberley Benedict, Catherine Benedict, Janet Sommers, and Carolyn Nickelo, and nephews Steve Hasiuk, Paul Olesky, and Steve Olesky.
Catherine was born June 21, 1940 in Sydney NS.
At age 16 she completed a commercial high school program at Holy Angels and moved to Ottawa to take up a secretarial position with the Navy in the Dept. of National Defense.
In July of 1964 she moved from Toronto to work at Houdaille. Later she worked at General Motors and then the Oshawa General Hospital.
She was successful wherever she worked and was promoted to positions of more responsibility.
Catherine was a devout Catholic.
She made a number of religious pilgrimages to sites in Canada, the USA, Europe and the Holy Land.
She enjoyed going to mass with family members, especially her sister Ann. Catherine was a dedicated family member.
She enjoyed both hosting and attending family gatherings. She loved a good story or joke. She took on the role of favorite Chocha with love and joy, ensuring each person felt special.
Catherine had Baba’s sensitivity and compassion. She had the ability to relate to the less fortunate.
Her zest for life and easy conversation endeared her to all she met.
In her long struggle with Parkinson’s disease, Catherine left a final gift in her example of one who did all she could and with a dignified acceptance of that which she could not change.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre for their dedication and compassion.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, March 8th from 6 – 8 p.m. Followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Mary of the People, Oshawa. Funeral service will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave., Oshawa) on Thursday, March 9th at 1:30 p.m.
Her remains will be transferred to Sydney, N.S. where funeral arrangements will be made by T.W. Curry Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Haven Memorial gardens, Sydney Nova Scotia.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Bastien on March 2, 2023.
Beloved husband of Anne Quinn Bastien nee Beaudoin.
Predeceased by his beautiful wife Denise Sabourin and brothers Dick, Eugene and Bill.
Much loved father of Denis (Beth), pre-deceased Marc (Cindy), Lynn (Mark), and step-son Sean (Libby).
Proud grandfather of Derek, Craig, Stacie, and Jenna. Charles was the epitome of a selfless honest and caring man.
This was evident during his daily life and during his 30-year career as a senior manager at I.B.M.
His positive attitude was evident to all who knew him. Charles was truly the best husband in the world and my closest friend. He had many great loves in life.
We travelled to many corners of the world. He loved reading, the arts, golf, boating, renovating, and his daily long drives in the country always appreciating natures beauty.
Charles you will always be my inspiration and the love of my life. For this I thank you more than words can say.
As per Charles wishes, cremation has taken place and no visitation or service will be held.
Due to the exceptional care given to Charles by the hospice, memorial donations in memory of Charles to the Mariposa House Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
September 30, 1952 - February 25, 2023
Cliff is survived by his wife Sonja, his children Nicole ( Megan), Cassandra ( Adrien), Travis.
His grandchildren, Destiny, Serenity, Hunter, Hayden, Nicolas and Aaliyah.
He will always and forever be remembered by his family and friends.
As were Cliffords wishes, a cremation has taken place and family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 in Oshawa on March 19th, 2023 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Peacefully passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at home, in her 86th year.
Claire, beloved wife of late Terry Waddell (March 1999).
Claire will be sadly missed but always remembered by her son, Brian and his wife Denise. Proud grandmother to Taylor, Austin, Kaitlyn and her adored grand-puppies, Tika and Luca.
She will be greatly missed by her best friend, Muriel and all of her loving brothers and sisters, family and friends.
Claire devoted her working years at Dominion, Pineridge Nurseries and Pickering Village Sports Store.
She enjoyed wood working crafts, sewing, gardening and home design.
