Angus passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Born in Tamworth on December 1, 1940, the third child of Kathleen and James Way.

He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Barbara (nee Breen), loving father to Michelle (Glenn) and Ryan (Julie Walsh).

Doting Papa to his number one grandson Harrison James.

Angus is survived by his siblings Patrick (Maureen) and Eleanor Dowling (late Jim), his brother-in-law Barry Breen and his many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers James (Margaret Ann), Bernard and Paul and brother-in-law Robert Breen.

Angus had a long and illustrious career as a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police.

After working in the intelligence bureau at 90 Harbour Street in downtown Toronto, Angus spent his final years as the Detachment Commander at the Newcastle unit before he officially retired on October 31, 1994.

In his youth, Angus developed a strong and organized work ethic by working on the family farm. Always smiling and whistling, Angus had a deep appreciation for nature, animals and family.

His greatest joy was to spend time with his family, especially at his sanctuary the Hill (the hunting camp). Surrounded by the natural environment and family, this was Angus’ definition of happiness.

Angus was a man of tremendous faith, high moral fiber and integrity. He was also a man who loved to tease. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love for his family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East on Saturday February 4, 2023 between 11 am-12:30 pm.

A Mass at St. Mary of the People Parish Catholic Church, 570 Marion Avenue (Stevenson Road North), on Saturday February 4, 2023 at 1 pm, followed by a reception at St. Mary of the People Hall. Interment at a later date at Assumption Cemetery, Erinsville, ON.

Passed away on January 22nd, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Loving father of Brett (Rachel) and Stacey.

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Carter, Paige, Davis and Charlotte.

Will be missed by his brother Bill, his wife Sandra and nephews Jeff and Todd.

A retired 34 year veteran of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Andrew will be missed by his many colleagues and friends in the RCMP, Toronto Police and the FBI.

Always the life of any party, he also leaves many cherished friends behind.

Visitation will be held at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Sunday, January 29th, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

On the morning of January 13th 2023 Amanda Stefanienko suddenly passed at the tragically young age of 32 in Oshawa, Ontario.

Amanda had a heart of gold that cared and loved deeply; always believing our brightest days were ahead of us.

She had contagious joy and a smile that housed a warmth you could feel in the depths of your soul.

Her love was always unconditional and will be felt long after her passing.

Amanda is survived by her mother, Bozena Stefanienko, younger brother, Alexander Stefanienko, and countless close friends within the community. She will be dearly missed, and always loved.

For those left behind, services will be held this weekend at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) with visitation happening on Sunday January 29th 2023 between 3pm - 8pm, and a service the following day on Monday, January 30th at 10:30am.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be missed by all her family and friends.

She and James had wonderful adventures together - skiing, travelling, dancing & cottaging.

She enjoyed her independence through her clothing sales business, social involvement with Toastmasters and getting lost in a good book. Angela poured her unconditional love into her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME in Whitby, on Sunday January 15th at 1pm, with a Service beginning at 2pm. Reception to follow the Service.

Ann went home to be with her Lord, at Taunton Mills Retirement Home in Whitby, on Sunday, January 1st, 2023, in her 92nd year.

Ann was the youngest of seven children who grew up at Benarees, the family farm on the idyllic coast of Northern Ireland.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ellen, and siblings, Betty, Nell, Mary, Martha, Bill and Joseph.

Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, the Rev. Jim McClure.

Her sons, Brian (Monica) and Ronald (Diane).

Her grandchildren, Heather and Christie McClure, Sarah (Éric) D’Aoust, Brendan and Victoria McClure. Her great-granddaughters, Élise, Amélie and Naomie D’Aoust.

She is also remembered by nieces and nephews in Canada and abroad. Ann and Jim, with Brian, emigrated to Canada in 1955 and settled in rural south-western Ontario.

Shortly after Ronald was born in 1959, the family moved to Whitby. Ann had a strong faith in God and she was a steadfast supporter of Jim in his ministry. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Whitby, was like a second family to the McClures.

Ann was very active in the life of the church.

Ann spent many happy years working at the Dr. J.O. Ruddy Hospital in Whitby. Ann was an avid gardener, baker, sewer, and knitter.

In addition to travelling to Northern Ireland frequently on holiday, Ann and Jim loved getting away to their cottage on Horseshoe Lake. Ann will be deeply missed by Jim and the rest of her family circle.

Thank you to the staff of Qualicare Home Care Whitby, Lakeridge Central East Home and Community Care staff, Taunton Mills Retirement home, Dr. G.S. Burwell, and Dr. J. Szendrey, for their care.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 209 Cochrane Street, Whitby, on Saturday, January 21st at 1:00 p.m.
