Donald “Don” McKenzie passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023 with his loving family by his side, after complications from a massive stroke.
His family remembers him as a kind, loving, gentle, strong and smart man.
At the age of 69 Donald didn’t slow down. He loved working as a Diesel mechanic and welder, going on vacations, taking weekly drives with his love Jennifer to their favourite place in Port Perry, sporting all the latest styles from his favourite sporting goods stores- he especially loved his collection of running shoes and often bragged to his grandchildren that he had better kicks then they did!!
Donald will be deeply missed by the three leading ladies in his life. His wife Jennifer of 46 years, daughter Andrea (Doug), Jaclyn (Grant) and most affectionately by his cherished Grandchildren who can he heard calling him “Pops” “Grandpa Don” or “Bestie” by his best buddy Grayson.
Donald was deeply loved by his sisters Alison and Pam, his cousin Patty, Richard, his work family at Miller Waste where he spent the last 20+ years of his career as a Diesel Mechanic and Welder, and of course by all his extended family and friends.
He is pre deceased by his parents Angus and Kathleen, his in-laws Angus and Oenone, his wonderful friends Gaynor and Phyllis, and many other family members who lovingly welcomed him in Heaven.

Predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Gordon Robert Jarvie.
She was the daughter of the late Evelyn (nee Hamlyn) and Stephen Wiggans. Loved sister of Jacqueline, Gary (Marilyn) and the late Ronald Russell (Gladys), Gloria and Wayne.
Loving mother of Janet Welsh (Rick), Philip Jarvie (Valerie) and the late Stephen (Claire).
Proud grandmother of Rachel Midgley (Darren), Teifion Grubb (Anna), Rebecca Farrell (Brandon), Cassie Neil (Dan) and Amanda.
Step-grandma of Angie MacDonald, Amy Clairoux, Wes Welsh (Mellissa), Katie Morgan and Rob Morgan (Emma).
She was a much loved great- grandma to Jordan, Taylor, Connor, Luke, Cerys , Patrick, Jacob, Julia and Riley and step great- grandma to Brooklyn, Annamarie, Abigale, Ivy, Madeline, and Ben. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.
Dorothy lived in Oshawa all her life and during the war worked in the parts department at General Motors where she met Gord and then years later at the Oshawa/Durham Board of Education for over 20 years. She loved dancing and music, cooking and entertaining and was a constant source of support and love to all her family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 1:30 pm until the time of service in the chapel at 2:30 pm.

With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of David on June 16, 2023.
Although he was the only son of George and Cathy, David came from a large family of uncles, aunts and cousins who are too numerous to name.
He was born in Toronto on May 21,1987, but spent most of his life in Zephyr and Uxbridge.
After graduating from high school, he was self employed in the soil business. During the later years he developed a landscaping business in which he was proudly successful.
He will be greatly missed by his little dog Willie, who was a constant companion and accompanied him wherever he went. David was the father to Gavvin, Logan and Lylah. He spent as much time as he could taking care of them.
A Visitation and service will be open to those who wish to pay their respects on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge, between the hours of 6p.m. and 9p.m. A service to celebrate David’s life will be officiated by his cousin Thomas Eng in the chapel on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 2p.m.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of my beloved husband of 45 years, my partner in life and best friend on Friday June 16, 2023.
Dave was born on September 8th, 1947 in Sussex, New Brunswick and moved to Toronto in 1966 and we met in 1975.
He has been my constant and anchor through the years and is now called home to be with the Lord.
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Paula Lynn Murray, his late brother Eddie, his wife Nancy and children Michelle and Scott Murray and all Nancy’s siblings, their spouses and children.
All are treasured family.
Dave will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by cousins and extended family in Sussex, New Brunswick who have always been a big part of Dave’s life.
A Visitation will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home on Thursday June 22, 2023 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Ajax after the Reception.

Dolly was the oldest of four girls growing up on a farm in Blackstock.
Dolly loved farm life and shortly after her marriage Ken and her purchased a farm down the road from her family home.
Here they raised their family and hosted many extended family gatherings.
She was a member of the Port Perry hospital auxiliary and was awarded a lifetime membership.
She enjoyed working at the hospital gift shop, helping at Camille’s closet and playing in the bridge fundraisers.
She really enjoyed the camaraderie of the Limousin family.
She was especially happy to have her grandsons and other local youth show her cattle as 4H projects.
Visitation will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 pm.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donald Scott Burnet, on June 8, 2023, in his 90th year, at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.
Don is now reunited in heaven with his wife of 41 years, Margaret; sister, Barbara; brother, Ken; and parents, Charles Eric and Marguerite Burnet.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Mike (Joelle), Diane (Pierre), Dawn (Andrew), and Chris (Lynne); grandchildren, Alexandra (Nicolas), Michelle, Vicky (Adrien), Katrina, Nicole (Brandon), Kelsey (Evan), Greg (Julie) and Adam (Nina); and great-grandson, Clément.
Born in Montreal October 1932, Don earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1957 and worked at the Royal Trust for many years before retiring in 1994.
Don and Margaret were active volunteers at the West Rouge Sports and Recreation Association, and in 1994 were a driving force behind the first West Rouge Family Day, which is still being held annually to this day.
Don will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, mischievous sense of humour, rousing renditions of "the White Cliffs of Dover", lush gardens, and as a fiercely competitive tennis player ("Tennis anyone?").
The family would like to thank the staffs at Chartwell/Livita Centennial in Oshawa, and Amica in Whitby, for the care they provided Don in recent years.
A private Celebration of Life will be held later this year in Quebec.
Denise Cecelia Oburota entered eternal rest on June 6, 2023 at Lakeridge Health due to complications from multiple infections leading to septic shock.
Family includes her late mother Gwyneth Oburota, 3 children, Nalene Hibbert, Marcus Hibbert and Leroy Hibbert 3rd. Her brother Colin Martin and sister Alicia Samuel.
She was born on May 19, 1981 at Women's College Hospital in Toronto, ON.
Denise loved to spend time with her mother as a child.
Denise had a lot of compassion and loved animals growing up. She would be so upset if one of her pets became sick, hurt or died that her mother decided it best to stop having pets. Denise attended TCI for high school where she met her former husband and they had 3 lovely children together.
Denise was a survivor, surviving breast cancer, cirrohsis of the liver and other health ailments with the help of her mothers prayers. She loved to try new recipes and within the past year, she reformed her diet and started making healthy meals,cleansing her body, exercising and doing breathing techniques. Her focus was on improving her life.
Her unexpected and sudden passing came as a shock to everyone and leaves a void with her famiy and community that will be felt for some time.
A Funeral Service will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Monday June 19th at 11 am. Private Interment.
