It is with great sadness that the family of Victor Stevens announces his passing on January 31, 2017.Vic, Dad, Grandpa left this world peacefully, surrounded by loving family and friends.In his 73 years of life, he married the woman he loved, raised 3 children and spoiled 9 grandchildren. Vic was predeceased by his parents, Elma and Frank Stevens.He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Barb Stevens, his children and their spouses; Kelly, Russ & Heather, Laurie & Troy; his “adopted” son Marty; as well as his sister Sandy and her husband Lorne. Grandpa will be especially missed by his grandchildren, Katelin, Jessica, Kyle, Megan, Tyler, Rachel, Mitchell, Brandon and Nathan. He will be joining Goldie, Shemo, Brooker, Holly and Taffie in heaven.Blaze, Daddy’s Baby, will miss his cuddles and treats until they meet again.Vic was honourable and prided for being a strong, hard working man who was always willing to go out of his way for the people he loved. He played a father & grandfather role for so many who were not related by blood. He loved and cared for his family more than anything else. Even in his last days he was always making jokes, and that is how we will remember him.Visitation will be held at McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax, Ontario (Pickering Village) on Friday, February 3rd, from 2 - 4pm and 7 – 9pm, and Saturday, February 4th, from 10 – 11am, with the service to begin at 11am. A reception will be held immediately following the service.Interment will be at Thornton Cemetery, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, Ontario. Those who wish to attend at the gravesite are welcome.Anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in memory of Vic are welcome to do so to any charity or foundation they desire.The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Scarborough Centenary Hospital for the wonderful care Vic received there. The kindness and consideration they showed all of us was much appreciated.

Age 75 yearsPeacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday January 15, 2017.Viola is now reunited with her beloved husband, Clarke who predeceased her in 2014.She leaves behind her children, daughter Sandra & son in law Pat Houlihan, daughter Brenda, son Bill & daughter in law Diane and daughter Carol.She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Paddy, Tyler, Kyle, Cody, William (predeceased), Christopher, Bradley, Brandon, Corey, Jake and Alishia.Viola is survived by her brother Bill Gallawan & his wife Clara and sister Fran Hudson.She was predeceased by her parents William & Sadie Gallawan and her other siblings.At Viola’s request, no visitation or funeral service will be held.Following cremation, her ashes will be buried with her husband at the family plot.
