August 20, 1939 – February 3, 2022
Passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022 at Lakeridge Oshawa at the age of 82 years, due to end-stage Dementia.
Daughter of Marie and Jack Dean. Husband of 17 years Bob Bell, his daughter Lindsay (Gary) and his son Kyle (Laura).
Evie was the devoted mother of Cheryl Rogers, Chad Rogers (Heather) and the late Lloyd Jones Jr. (Debbie). Cherished Gramma “Granny Goose” of Tanya, Aaron, Eric, Kelly, Bailey, Delanie, Austin, Alexandria and Keegan.
Beloved sister of Marguerite “Margie” Klyne (Ray), and Donna Bergeron (Wayne).
Predeceased by her brothers John, George (Gracie), David and her sister Debbie.
Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, including Vicki (Ron), Billy, Jamie (Cindy) and Lori (Bruce) and many good friends, including Carol Fukusaka. Evie was born in Toronto and grew up in Cabbage Town.
“Mrs. Rogers” will be fondly remembered by the staff and students at Dundas Public School where she worked as an Educational Assistant for 25 years, especially dear friend Cathie Salter.
Evie will also be remembered by the members of the Scarborough Bowling League.
She moved to the Durham Region after retirement. Evie was a caring soul who was very generous with her time and helping others. Evie was also fun-loving, enjoyed socializing, playing cards, and dressing-up at Halloween.
She was a great cook and known for her potato salad and pumpkin cheesecake.
Her grandchildren will remember her handouts of ‘bigfoot’ gummy candies.
Evie liked plants, to garden, and all kinds of food.
She also enjoyed music, with Charley Pride a favourite.
Evie was able to see him perform a few times and even got to meet Charley at the Horseshoe Tavern after a performance at the CNE.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Evie’s life will be held at a later date.

Beloved husband of Carol (nee Clough) for 57 wonderful years.
Loving father of Kristine (Christopher) and Peter (Robyn).
Cherished grandfather of Eric & Leah Kellestine and Rachel & Tess Routly.
Predeceased by his brother Lloyd Routly and his sister Norma Wood.
Wayne was a wonderful Brother-in-Law, Uncle and Great Uncle and looked forward to all things ‘family’.
Born and raised in Peterborough, ON, Wayne and Carol met in Oshawa and married 6 months after their first date.
Wayne enjoyed a dynamic and diverse career with General Motors that offered not only work opportunities but family experiences that included 35 years of committed service and moves across the country.
He was a dedicated Rotarian for over 40 years and served tirelessly on the Youth Justice Committee.
Wayne always believed in giving back to people and was involved in every community where he resided, ‘Service Above Self’.
Wayne’s kind-hearted and caring personality was felt by all who knew him and he shall be deeply missed.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their care and compassion.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

We are greatly saddened to announce the passing on January 30, 2022, of are very much-loved Mother and Oma to her grandkids at the age of 81 years old.
She joins her loving husband Jacob van onlangs whom passed away many years ago.
They will finally be back together again. Cherished Mother of Robert van onlangs followed by grandsons Christopher and Ryan and grand daughter Sarah.
She also has two great grandsons Carter and Anthony. Coming to Canada in 1960 she left behind a very close family. Father Robert and Mother Cisca followed by four wonderful sisters Lane,Cisca,Roos and Marget.
She loved them very much. We would like to thank Oshawa Lakeridge Cancer Facility for all they did for her.
In lieu of flowers ,donations will be appreciated to the Oshawa Lakeridge Cancer Facility.
Viewing Feb 6th 12 noon followed by celebration of live speaker at 1pm. The family will receive guests at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax Ontario, on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the memorial service to follow. Registration is required by contacting the funeral home.
On Sunday January 30, 2022 we said goodbye to John at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with a few family members by his side due to Covid.
John married the love of his life the late Mary Lou Boyd, where they shared 55 years together.
They had 3 daughters Sheri (Mike) Stewart, Karen Boyd, Lisa (Paul) Riley.
They had 6 grandchildren Dakota, Jesse, Scott, Emily, Alexandra and Kaitlyn.
John leaves behind his sister Joanne (Moe).
John proudly gave 30 years to the TTC.
He will be remembered as a fighter, and his humour.
He loved to make people laugh. He’d do anything for anyone. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

September 14, 1929 – January 29, 2022
We are saddened to announce, Edie has passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa due to complications from COVID on Saturday January 29th, 2022 in her 93rd year.
She is the cherished Mother of Donna Hilditch (Stan) and Rob Hilditch (Shelley) and beloved grandmother to Casey Hilditch. Edie was predeceased much too soon by her husband Bob (1986).
Edie was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Ruiter.
She was born in Bowmanville and grew up on Ontario St. and was the second youngest of six children.
She outlived all her siblings Wallace (Norma), Coulson (Kay), Eileen Hearl (Reg), Vera Bate (Murray) and June Ruiter.
After her parents passed, youngest sister June went to live with Edie & Bob, where she lived until she died in 2016.
Edie and Bob raised their family on Third St and made many lifelong friends over the 40 plus years spent there.
Edie will be greatly missed by all her friends, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as Donna and Rob’s many friends who were always treated like they were family members. The last 10 years had been very difficult for Edie as she lived with dementia and had been living in long term care since 2018.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no service. The Family will host a celebration of life when it’s safe for us to all hug each other again.

Passed away suddenly on January 21, 2022, after a short illness.
She is survived by her husband Manfred and will be missed by family and friends in Canada, United Kingdom, U.S. and Belgium.
Beth was a longtime employee of State Farm Insurance and had many great memories of her time there. Beth loved the game of tennis and played for many years in Scarborough.
Travelling was something she loved to do and she enjoyed her time in Barbados over the years.
A good book, a drink, sunshine and she was happy!
Beth was loved so much and will be sadly missed.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Evelyn at Fairview Lodge, Whitby on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in her 90th year.
Loving mother of Ken (Frances), Dan (Pat), Judy (Steve Hickson) and Patsy (Mike McPhee).
Lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren Sarah (Mark), Joshua (Jillian), Julie, Michael (Becca), Jessica, Mallory, Tyler (Amber), Erin and Carly.
Also cherished by her 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
She will be fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces.
