Passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Linda (Bourgeois). Proud father of Danielle (Tyler), Brandon, Tracey (Ken) and Terri (Rob). Grandfather of Lucas (Tiffany), Jaime, Mackenzie and Taylor.

Great grandfather of Theodore and Levi. He is predeceased by his parents Alma and Milton and his sister Pat (Bob). Bob leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A special thank you to the staff at The Carriage House for years of extraordinary care. A special thank you to the Durham EMS for the valiant efforts at the end of Bob's life and the Durham Regional Police for the respect and support given to the family at the time of Bobs passing. Much gratitude to Pierre for the years of assisting with him and his son Brandon.

Bob was a proud member of the Oshawa Shrine Club and the Oshawa Masonic Temple and achieving his ultimate goal of becoming DDGM (1999-2000).

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Shriners Hospital for Children or Kerry’s Place Autism Services.

As per Bob's wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services.

Richard “Brent” Taylor passed away peacefully surrounded by his three loving children on April 1, 2023, at the age of 62.

Born on March 28, 1961 in Oshawa, Ontario to the late Richard “Dick” and Wayne Taylor.

Brent is survived by his three children, Rachel Taylor, Lindsay Dickson (Kris), Shawn Taylor (Katrina) and their mother and dear friend Susy Taylor.

Loving grandfather to Carley Smith, Landon Smith, Natalie Taylor, Mitchell Taylor, and Lucas Taylor. He is also survived by his siblings Kemmis Taylor (Carolyn), Iris Connelly (Larry), and Cheryl Bickle (John).

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. Brent was a man of deep faith who loved his family and friends well.

He leaves behind a legacy of courage and strength. He will be remembered for his generous heart, playful sense of humour and devout faith in God.

It is with deep gratitude that the family would like to extend a warm and sincere thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Health for the love and care provided to Brent during his battle with ALS.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, April 6th from 4 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 7th at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Smiths Falls.

Peacefully passed away after a short illness, surrounded by the women who loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife Roshelle Chenier, his beloved children Abby and Colin, his mother Clare, his father Peter (Annabel), his sisters Jenny Cooper (Steve) and Julie Ambury (Steve), as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and “frousins”.

Rob will be missed by so many friends, most especially his best friend Ian, and wonderful work colleagues.

Rob had innumerable great qualities, most significantly his great sense of humor—he always said that you need to be able to joke at life’s worst moments.

Rob faced many health challenges throughout his life and he always met them with courage, pragmatism, and most of all humour.

He had a keen interest in many things, and a curiosity for science, tech, sports, music, and Die Hard. We are all better for having loved him.

Memorial service to be held Saturday, April 8th from 2-4 pm at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME in Brooklin, Ontario.

Richard retired from Dupont after a long, dedicated career. He was a kind and caring manager, who genuinely cared about his team.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the age of 73 after a long and brave journey with IPF, a double lung transplant and cancer.

Ron was the beloved husband of Sandy and loving father of Danny (the late Sheri), Dorothy (Eric Giguere), Debbie (Colin Boucher), Emma (Tim Shilson), Jack and Kendra (predeceased 1993).

He was a proud grandpa of Daniel, Racheal, Abby and Joey and will be missed by his large extended family and many friends.

Ron was the eldest son of Bruce and Blanche Zuber who raised a large, rambunctious family of 7 children.

They were an Airforce family who moved often during his childhood.

Ron was a true family man who loved to spoil his wife and spend time with his children and grandchildren , whether it was coaching their sports teams, taking them camping or just playing Barbies or throwing a ball around.

Careerwise he was a true and loyal IBMer of nearly forty years.

He was passionate about curling, baseball, golf and playing cards.

A perfect day for Ron would involve having fun with his family followed by a curling bonspiel and a rousing game of euchre with his brothers and sisters, whom he adored.

Above all, Ron was a kind and generous man, truly one of the “good guys” and we will miss him always.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Parish (903 Giffard Street, Whitby) at 1:30pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Whitby Curling Club (815 Brock Street North, Whitby) from 3pm-6pm.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Rita Irene Richard, age 79, of Oshawa, Ontario on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Rita fought hard but passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

Rita was born in Minto, New Brunswick on September 14th, 1943.

She was the daughter of the Late Levi and Laura (Roy) LeBlanc.

The heart and soul of her family, Rita was an amazing wife to Leonard of 58 wonderful years, incredible mom to Mike (Anita), Mark (Laura) and Sue (Andy), loving grandmother to Dena (Jim), Hannah, Emma, Luke, Lily, Ella and a loyal friend to all.

She will be dearly missed by her brother Gerald LeBlanc (Rachel) and sisters Lorraine Dupuis (late Fred), Alma Legere (Victor), Claudette Downing (late Gerald).

She also has many brothers and sisters in-law as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss her. Besides her parents Rita was predeceased by her brother Ivan LeBlanc (late Lena) and sisters Florence Garland (Ronald), Louise Stacey (Andrew), Mary LeBlanc and Cecile LeBlanc.

She always imparted an encouraging and welcoming smile to everyone she met or shared her presence with. Her caring and supportive nature allowed people around her to know they could lean on her.

Her courage, determination and charm defined her. She loved to cook and anyone who sat at her table was blessed with love and wonderful meals.

We were very lucky to be able to spend her remaining time together, talking about the good times, and how she wants to be remembered; which is through a celebration of her life at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME located at 847 King St. W, Oshawa on Sunday, April 2, 2023 with a visitation from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM in the chapel.

Raymond Davidson, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 80.

He lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family.

Born on June 21, 1942, in Bewcastle, Cumbria, England, Raymond grew up in a close-knit family with his parents, Edwin and Maggie, and his siblings Edna, Colin, Peter and Alan.

He attended Carlisle College of Art and later pursued careers as a potter and signwriter, eventually starting his own business, Ray’s Signs, in Whitby, Ontario. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, unwavering integrity, and commitment to excellence in all he did.

In 1960, Raymond met the love of his life, Valerie Ann Cosstick, and they were married April 2, 1966. Together, they raised 2 children, Michael and Nigel, who were the joy of their lives.

Raymond was a devoted father, always there to offer support, guidance, and encouragement to his children as they pursued their own passions and dreams.

In his free time, Raymond enjoyed his vegetable garden and woodworking. He was a former private pilot and loved to travel and meet people abroad on the many cruises he took with Valerie.

He loved spending time chatting with the many friends and acquaintances that would stop by the house, enjoying nights out at the pub, or simply catching up on Facetime with family and friends back in the UK.

Raymond will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Valerie, his son Michael and partner Dorothy, and his grandchildren Matthew and Nathan. He will be remembered for his warmth, his generosity, and his unwavering love for his family and pets.

A service to celebrate Raymond's life will be held at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787 on March 24 2023 at 3pm.
