Thomas “Tom” - March 26, 1957 – November 20, 2019It is with deep regret and great sadness that the family of Thomas Murray Keen announce that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, November 20th, at the age of 62 years.Tom is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Marlene and their children, Rachel, Kirsten, Gregory, Ben (Michelle), Patrick and Kaitlin.Tom is survived by his siblings Alex (Nonie), Cindy (Don), Ron, Janet (Don), Earl (Donna), and Jamie.He is also survived by Jennifer (the late Mike), Steven (Helen) and Teresa (Trent).Tom is very fondly remembered by his many loving nephews, nieces, extended family and all of his friends that he has made along the way. Tom was born in Woodbridge, Ontario on March 26th 1957 to Robert and Phyllis Keen.In his early years, Tom loved scouting, friendly competition and banter with his many siblings and friends.Tom played and coached his children in soccer, baseball and especially hockey (known for that sneaky wrist shot). Tom was the epitome of kindness and was a true handyman.He was known to drive long hours to help in anyway he could. He was a person you could always rely on. Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (1587 Highway #2, Courtice) 905-432-8484 on Wednesday November 27, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m.Cremation to follow.Tom was a regular volunteer and supporter of The Clarington Youth Centre.

Todd - (January 16, 1963 – November 7, 2019) - Longtime Tow Operator & Taxi Driver. Beloved eldest son of Jeannette Burgess and Robert & Betty Burgess. Big brother of Gayle (Greg) Moffatt and Bob Burgess (Tracey Horvath). Adored uncle of Jill & Erin. Todd will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.Todd was always willing to lend a hand, he was quick to smile and would chat to anyone who would listen. Sadly he was killed while doing what he was known to always do, helping others.A Graveside Service will be held at Bowmanville Cemetery on Wednesday November 13th at 1 pm. Following the interment, all are invited to process together to the reception at GARNET B. RICKARD CENTRE, which will be held from 2 – 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to The Hospital for Sick Children.Todd’s family would like to sincerely thank everyone for the many donations, phone calls, thoughts and prayers being sent to them during this difficult time. Thomas Alexander Kotsopoulos - March 9, 1951 - October 6, 201968, of Courtice, Ontario passed away peacefully after a brief battle with Cancer with his wife and sons by his side on October 6th, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Center in Oshawa.Tom will lovingly be remembered by his wife whom he was with for 46 years, Cathy and their two sons Gregory (spouse Kerri-Lyn) and Robert (spouse Shannon).Tom was an adored Papou to his grand-children; Blake and Blaire, Dallas and Erica.He will sadly be missed by brother John Kotsopoulos with his wife Jane and sister Georgina Mangos with her husband Steve. Many nieces and nephews along with Family and Friends will remember him fondly.Tom will be remembered not in sickness but for his never-ending love for his family and his love for Sports.Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. Terri Lee Bernhardt
May 14th, 1962 - October 6th, 2019 Terri passed away on Sunday, October 6th at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie surrounded by family at the age of 57.Although she was still young in years, she would remind us that she was “living on borrowed time” as she lived life with no fear and a semi disregard for her own mortality.We are grateful for this borrowed time as it allowed her to become a proud and devoted mother to her daughters Jodi and Cori who will miss her dearly.She also got the opportunity to become a grandma to her only grandson Jackson- who was the light of her life (although she made it clear she wished he was not the only one). Daughter to Peter and Doreen Bernhardt and loving sister to Becki and Paul Bernhardt. Former wife of Christopher Gay and current swashbuckler/companion to Theodore (Tao) Dekkema. She also leaves behind an extensive compilation of crossword puzzle books as well as more Ryvita and peanuts than any one person needs.We are sad to say good-bye, but she will live on forever in our cherished memories of her tenacious personality, extensive vocabulary, kind and loving heart and boundless realism. A Celebration of Life will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home in Uxbridge, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This will be a casual time of remembrance where people are welcome to drop by throughout the evening.Her family asks that in place of flowers, donations can be made to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.
