Johanna “Annie” Coulter peacefully passed surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, May 14th, 2023.
Born January 18, 1927 in Utrecht, Holland.
Annie is predeceased by her husband Jack Coulter and granddaughter Melanie.
She will be greatly missed by her five children Dorothy (David), Nick (Sheila), Bonnie (Roger), Penny (Chuck), and Jackie (Pat).
Also missing this beautiful and loving matriarch are her 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will take place at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Road N, Whitby, ON on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 12:00 noon, followed by a service in the chapel at 1:00 pm with a reception immediately to follow.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, consider donating to Annie’s favourite charities; World Wildlife Fund, Easter Seals, and War Amps.

John Wayne Phillips
November 21 1946 - May 13, 2023
John passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital Toronto, Ontario, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 76.
John, fondly known by all as ‘PEPE’ is the loving husband of Andrea Douglas; proud father of Michelle (Mark) Worton; Michael (Crystal) Phillips, Llewellyn and Leticia Savory; Grandfather of Raechel (Daniel) Sacco, Breydon and Alexandra Worton, Nathan and Brooke Phillips.
Son of the late Joyce Patricia Walcott; cousin of Anthony(dec’d), Robert, Colin, Debra, and Jacqueline. John was born in Barbados where he spent his early years and came to Canada at the age of fourteen where he settled became a citizen and completed his college education at George Brown College, and Shaw’s Business College.
John worked with Tie Rack Canada and finally retired from Johnson Control in Oshawa in 2012. Those who know John ‘Pepe’ would remember him well for his funny moments, heated conversations on politics, sports, Canadian history, and the bible.
He remained firmly in that zone for most of his life. He made his mark, and we will all surely miss him.
