Anne Kissel in her 105th year passed away suddenly and peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces, Oshawa on Easter Sunday evening, April 17th, 2022 with loving health care staff at her bedside and family present.

Beloved wife of the late Michael Kissel.

Loving mother of Ray (Catherine) of Oshawa, Gerald of Edmonton and the late Leslie Kissel (Charles Kinch) of Denman Island, BC.

Dear grandmother of James (Emma), Alex (Shannon) and Annie and great-grandmother of Lakelynne and Kai.

Anne was born at home in the north end of Winnipeg beside a wood stove. As a youth she learned the traditions of her Ukrainian culture, enjoyed attending school, excelled at playing basketball and attending CGIT programmes and especially summer camps.

Her career as a skilled seamstress in the furrier industry ended when she married a high school classmate and began her family life. Living in Winnipeg, Regina and eventually Sarnia, her efforts were focused on raising her family and trying to provide the things which were not available to her when growing up including advanced education.

Anne was always willing to help out and provided support to PTA, Girl Guides and CWL activities and she willingly shared her talents and knowledge.

Her hobbies included rug hooking, gardening, embroidery and quilt making.

Later in life she moved to Oshawa to be closer to her family and enjoyed the last years of her life living at Hillsdale Terraces where she was loved by residents and staff alike.

Anne was a strong woman and role model who maintained her sharp wit and humour to the end.

The family is requesting that attendees please wear a mask at the visitation and at the Memorial Mass.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday April 25th, 2022 for visitation from 6 – 8 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 373 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 at 10 a.m.

He was dedicated to his career as a Records Manager for the Provincial Government and a committed member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Beloved husband of 63 years to Concetta.

Dearest Nonno of Jonathan (Seaneen), Amanda, and Linnea (Marc).

Survived by his sister Yolanda and brother Giovanni.

Predeceased by his parents Giulia and Nazareno, his siblings Giuseppe, Anita, Luigi, and Marcello (Gaetana).

Brother-in-law of Angela Maria (Igino), Antonio (Patrizia), Rita (Mario), Carmela (late Gaetano), Alfonsina (Domenic), and late Giovanni.

Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends from Canada and his hometown, Veroli, Italy.

Armando immigrated to Canada in 1963 to start a new life for his wife and family. He was a man of strong work ethic who worked well into his eighties, enjoyed socializing at the local Italian Club, gardening and hunting.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Barrattara, Dr. Moozar and their staff, Personal Support Worker Oliver and Nurses Lena and Marisa for their care and compassion.

In a thirty year career in addictions and mental health Angie served her community by providing counsel and guidance to people in need.

As Client Care Manager Community Treatment Services Mental Health and Pinewood Centre Program of Lakeridge Health, Angie worked tirelessly throughout Durham Region to deliver programs and shepherd a team of professionals dedicated to the welfare of residents in our community.

She was so proud of the individual success of her fellow staff and overall their accomplishments.

We also know of so many who share the family’s loss at this time. In retirement, Angie transitioned into private practice with a renewed vitality to work directly with those navigating life’s issues in a challenging time.

We, her family, learned to share Angie’s passion with others and together we celebrate her beautiful life, her ability to meaningfully touch so many others in our community, as an advocate, a change maker, baseball Mom, sister, cousin, aunt, a great friend, and Lumina Lady.

Arrangements with the Accettone Funeral Home, Ajax. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at St. Bernadettes Church, 21 Bayly Street, East, Ajax at 11:00 am.

Born in Hubli, India, Albert moved to Germany in 1968 for his higher studies.

He and his wife Edith then immigrated to Canada in 1972 where they raised their 2 sons Steven and Kevin.

Albert was a Christ follower and strong in his faith journey.

He is survived by his loving wife Edith, sons Steven (Kavita) and Kevin (Malaika), and his adored granddaughter Kadence.

He will be dearly missed by his surviving sisters and many nieces and nephews (both in Canada and India).

Albert (along with his wife Edith) have always opened their hearts and homes to anyone new to Canada, whether it is providing a temporary place to live or advice in transitioning to a foreign land.

Visitation on Monday April 18, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday April 19, 2022 starting at 10:30 am at McEachnie Funeral Home, Pickering Village, Ajax, ON. This will be followed by a burial ceremony in Ajax, ON .
