Loving husband of Ruth for over 70 years.

Beloved father of late Rick, Gary and Royal.

He was a grandfather of six and great-grandfather of four.

Rolland moved to Oshawa in 1951 at the age of 22 and worked at General Motors for 39 years.

He also did TV aerials and steeplejack work for more than 25 years.

He enjoyed leisure time bowling, darts and spending time with his French group -La Jeunesse Ditlier.

A graveside service will be held at 3pm on October 17, 2022 at THORNTON CEMETERY and FUNERAL CENTRE .

Donations will be gratefully accepted for Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Ruby Eileen Peters was born June 8th, 1925 and was married on Sept. 6th, 1950 to Keith Peters (deceased January 15th, 2018).

Eileen passed away on Sunday, October 16th, at Hillsdale Estates.

Eileen is survived by her brother-in-law Ralph Peters, Etobicoke and her three nephews and their families, Wesley his wife Leslie and their son Derek, Stuart, Barry and his wife Christine and his children Lukas, Justin and their children Sarah and Charlie.

Predeceased by her parents Tracey Glaspall and Hazel (Gifford), her brother Glen and his wife Eleanor, her sister Lois, and her husband Don and their son David.

Eileen worked for many years at Lovell Drugs and at Eatons.

Eileen and her husband were faithful members of Centennial Albert United Church.

She was a volunteer for many years with the Canadian Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, October 28th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

Eileen will be buried beside her husband in Zion Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Centennial Albert United Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Bob passed away at the age of 71 peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Sunday, October 9th after a long, hard battle with cancer.

He was a devoted husband to Margo, loving father to Neil (Leigh), Michelle, and Cheryl (Dylan), and a cherished “Duke” to his grandchildren Chayse, Jaxson, Willow, and Decklan.

Bob was a loving son to William (Bill) Vanderland and the late Constance Vanderland, devoted brother to Brenda (Paul), Barb, and the late Bill Vanderland, and beloved uncle to his niece and nephews.

Bob lived a very active and healthy lifestyle as an avid runner and cyclist. But most of all, Bob was a selfless family man and friend to many. He will be incredibly missed and loved forever.

Bobbie was a proud advocate for the disabled community, she received many awards and accomplished several great changes in the Durham Region over the years.

He passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Monday September 26th, 2022, at Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia (nee Potvin) of 44 years.

He was a proud stepfather to Valerie, Jack and Mark (Lynn), and the late Joe.

He was a loving brother of Louis (Ricki), Jeannine (Lenny), Dorice (Raymond), and the late Laurie (Bernice).

Roger will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Cal, Kyle, Danielle, Kristen, Chantelle (Ryan) and John. Roger recently had the pleasure and joy of meeting his Great Granddaughter Myla, whom he shared many smiles and waves with.

Roger was a dedicated and proud veteran serving the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years.

He retired to the Commissioners where he spent 9 years in Oshawa. He never missed a Blue Jays game, and always had the play by play updates. We won't forget the love he had for his family and all the chocolate.

On behalf of Roger and his family, we would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital, specifically the staff in the Dorothy Macham Home for the excellent care and support they provided to Roger.
