A memorial visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario, followed by a memorial service from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.

Beloved husband of Debbra for 30 years.

He will be sadly missed by his brother Dan (Deb) and sister in law Diane (his brother, the late Pat) and by his nieces Stacey, Dara, Danielle and their families.
Rick will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Darling wife to Howard and beloved mother to Gordon, Robert, and Janet (Neil).
Adoring Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and friend to many.
“Jane” passed in her 86th year after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Jane was a wonderful person to know; she lit up the room with her smile, voice, and laugh.
She loved to socialize with friends and family and with her lighthearted disposition, made those around her feel cherished and happy.
Jane grew up in the Bedford Park area of Toronto with her mother and father, Ruth, and Arthur Brown.
She was very close to her older sister Bea and her niece Susan.
She attended St. Clement’s School where she made lifelong friends.
She raised her family in Agincourt and retired to Peterborough. Jane lived life to the fullest.
She was a thoughtful wife and dedicated mother working tirelessly to ensure her family was happy and healthy.
She loved fashion, travelling, music, dancing, and spending time at the cottage.
She is missed already and for those around her life will never be the same.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the staff at Fairview Lodge, who for the past two and a half years provided Jane with a superb level of care.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Gardens in Ajax on Monday, September 19th, 2022 at 88 years of age.
Dear brother of Violet, Gord, Linda, Wayne, Bill and predeceased by George, Pearl, Myrtle and Stan.
Ronald will be missed by his great nieces Raynelle Green (Charlie), Melanie Green (Barrie), Katie Wilenski (Ryan), Hilary Siebert (Andrew), Sherry Hughes (Jim) , Kerri Truax (Scott), Lisa Hughes (Steve), his many great great nieces and nephews, his niece Kim Sage (the late Bob) and her sons Brandon and Michael, his sister-in-law Shirley Gilbert and his extended family and friends.
A special thank you to Ian and Jessica and the staff on 4 west at Lakeridge Gardens, Ajax for their compassion and care.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, September 26th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Ronald transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, September 14th, surrounded by his loving family.
Ron was born in Newington, Ontario on July 7, 1944, to parents Keith and Freda (nee Zummach) Brownell.
A retired GM Auto Worker, Ron’s career in manufacturing began with the former Houdaille Industries in Oshawa until the plant closure.
He then joined General Motors where he worked in the Paint shop until his retirement in 2007.
Ron’s many skills were an asset to Feed the Need, a local Food Bank serving the Durham Region, where Ron and Linda both volunteered.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 56 years, Linda (née Swerdfeger) of Osnabruck Centre. He was a devoted father to daughters, Kelly Zovak (John), and Karen Knight (Brad).
He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Nicole, Zachary, Michael, Mackenzie, and Andrew. Ron is survived by his sisters Joan and Gail, and his brother Don.
In his final days, Ron received excellent care from the staff on Lavender Lane at Hillsdale Estates.
Services will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, Whitby on Friday, September 23rd with visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am. Interment to follow. Friends and family are invited to join us for refreshments after the interment.

With sadness the family announces the passing of Ruth Stainton at her home on September 14, 2022.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Jim.
She will be greatly missed by her sons David (Brenda) and Doug (Renee). She was a cherished grandma as well as great grandma.
She is survived by her sister in-law Joyce Shaw, Grace Thomas (late Roy) and Marg Stainton (late Ross). Ruth was predeceased by her siblings Patricia (late Ron), David and also by Keith and Muriel Stainton.
Ruth will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends such as the Haass family, Donna Stell and the knitting club, swimming ladies have lost a true member of their circle. Many children can swim today - thanks to the swimming lessons that they received from her.
She was a member of Zion United Church and then Kedron United Church.
Special thank you is extended to Sharon (PSW) for her unwavering support for our mother.
A celebration of life will be held on October 20, 2022 at 1:30 pm at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL.

Bob, peacefully with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, September 9, 2022 at age 71.
Predeceased by his father Clifton, mother Velma and his brother Bill.
Sadly mised by his sister Bonnie (Jim), his brothers Pete, Jeff (Jen) and Mark, his nieces and nephews James (Allison), Kristina (Tom), Jason, Jeff (Amanda), Amy (Jordan), Jenna (Selondis) and especially Natasha and Kiera to whom he devoted himself.
Bob enjoyed his Mustang, cooking, reading novels and especially enjoyed euchre with friends at the Courtice Community Centre.
Bob enjoyed his years as a corporal in the militia from (1970-1975).
To the day he died he found it ironic that he drove a cargo truck on the Autobahn and the governor maxed out at 55 mph.
In memory of Bob, donations to the SickKids Foundation would be appreciated.
As per Bob's wishes, a private family service will take place.

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Cesina (nee Covatta).
Loving father of Tony and Carmela.
Dear brother of Domenic.
Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Carmela and his sister Giuseppina.
Ray will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Ray retired after 31 years of dedicated service at General Motors.
He enjoyed listening to music and playing his beloved accordions.
Ray fought a courageous battle with Dementia for the last 8 years. He was able to continue living his life to the fullest by the care provided for him from his children, who will dearly miss him.
Special thanks to his PSW, Nadine, for her care and compassion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOM (124 King St. E., Oshawa).

Predeceased by his grand daughters Teryn & Jodie. Great Grandfather of Jaxson, Couper, Kit, Lucy, Marcy, Eve, Sasha, Blayne, Aubree, Patton, Paislee, Kaden, Brooke, Quinnlyn, Owen, Sophia, Olivia, Ashlyn, Drew and Thorin. Proud GM Retiree after 37 years of service.
Ron enjoyed coaching hockey in the community for 29 years. Ron’s greatest passion was his family.
He was overwhelmingly proud of his wonderful family and adored spending every moment he could with them, at home, the cottage and in Florida.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday September 20th, 11am at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church. Interment of ashes will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
