March 8, 1959 – October 2, 2017It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, “Bubba”, Brother, Son and Son In-Law.Tony lived his life full speed ahead. He was always coaching, mentoring, helping anyone & spreading his wonderful love of life to everyone who met him. His wife and family meant everything to him.Tony & Cheryl met when they were teenagers.They married when they were 19 & 18 and have been a team ever since. They shared a full loving life together raising their 3 children.He will be missed forever by his wife Cheryl, his children Jacquie, Steve and Becky and their partners Chris Fice, Amber Rooney and Peter Cheung who he loved as his own.He will be lovingly adored & missed by his grandchildren Maddie & Henry and future grandchildren. He loved being “Bubba”.He was a wonderful son to his Mother Joan Whillans (predeceased) and his Father Don Whillans (predeceased). He will also be missed by his Step-Mother Shirley Whillans, his sister Sherry Whillans-Bonura and his nieces, nephews, & great nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was a wonderful son in-law to Brenda Ashmore and Brian Ashmore (predeceased), and Brother In-Law to Mike and Joanna Ashmore.Tony is gone far too soon. He was planning on living a full wonderful life in Ottawa, perhaps opening his own gym and spending time travelling with his Cheryl.On Sunday, October 15th, we will be having a celebration of Tony’s life at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) and the family will be accepting guests from 2-5pm.We want to thank everyone for the tremendous love and support we have felt from you all during our time of sorrow.We would ask in lieu of flowers that you please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tim Wheeler on September 25, 2017 at the age of 79.Tim was the loving father of Derek (Della) and Eric (Christine) and the proud grandfather of Nicholas, Quintin, Erica, Cameron and Shawntel.Tim devoted years of volunteer service to the West Shore Softball Association, the Pickering Hockey Association, the Pickering Panthers Junior Hockey Club and as a founding member of the Pickering Men's Slo-Pitch League.In 1981, Tim was honoured by the City of Pickering with a Civic Recognition Award for his many years of dedicated outstanding community volunteer contributions.Tim fought bravely against diabetes and health issues during his later years and we are comforted in knowing that he is now reunited with his true love, his wife Lillian.We would like to thank Dr. Bhella and the nursing staff of 4 West and 2 East at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital for their care and assistance.The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Diabetes Canada.A memorial service and celebration for Tim will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Lake House, 600 Liverpool Road, Pickering.
