WWII Veteran It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our “Tat”/”Dziadziu”.A WW II Veteran, born in 1927 in Felinów, Poland, Ted passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 10, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 90.He fought with the Polish 2nd Corps in Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1947.Ted eventually settled in Oshawa and started working at General Motors in 1949, later retiring after 33 years of service. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Lusia Taborski and son, Andrew. Ted is survived by his son, Jim (Helen) and daughter, Renata (Peter). He was adored by his grandchildren; Rachel, Rebecca, Hannah, Daniel, Tim (Selena), Jolene, Luke, Angela and Jennifer and treasured by his great-grandchildren; Veanna and Marshall. He will be missed by his extended family and friends, including sister in-law Bronia (Henry). Ted also leaves behind his beloved companion, Stormy, who will miss their daily adventures.There will be no formal service, however, family and friends will be received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, for visitation on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 12-2 p.m.In memory of Ted, please consider a donation to the New Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter or a charity important to you.
