On the morning of Friday, April 14th, 2023, the Lord took one of his Angels, Kathy Koppens (nee Hawley), home after a long battle with dementia at the age of 81.
Loving wife of 62 years to Martin Koppens.
Beloved mother of Richard, Jim, and Margaret. Caring grandmother of Amanda (Jamie), Krysania (Andrew), Brittany, and Raistlin.
Dear great-grandmother of Dylan, Marissa, Lana, Damian, and Egon. Survived by sisters Doris and Margaret, and brother John. Predeceased by her parents Fredrick Hawley and Beatrice Hawley Greeley, step-father Frank Greeley, and sisters Alice, Ruth, and Shirley.
She is lovingly remembered by her many brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces. Kathy was a devoted woman who loved being surrounded by family, friends, and nature, and will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd. Ajax) on Friday May 12, 2023 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (21 Bayly St. E. Ajax) at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to followy.

It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Nicholls surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
Ken was the cherished partner of Joane Watts and predeceased by his beloved wife Eefje MacLean.
Deeply missed brother of Joan (the late John) and predeceased by his brother Eric (Joan).
Much loved Uncle of Stephen (Cindy), Brenda (Rainer), Leslie (Steve), Paul, Pam (John), Chris (Joanne), Ian (Patrizia) and 16 Great/Great-Great nieces and nephews.
Ken was born in Toronto to the late John and Vera Nicholls. He began working life at Toledo Scale and later found his calling at the Scarborough Fire Department where he worked for 30 years, retiring as acting District Chief.
Ken lived life to the fullest, even attaining his pilot’s license. He enjoyed his retirement filling his time with golfing, boating, gardening, motorcycling and travelling. He was a great friend to many who were so important to him. Some were like family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Spencer Chau, Dr. Patricia Wong, Dr. Natalie Munn and the wonderful staff at Butternut Manor for their care and compassion in his final days.
A private family internment will take place at a later date.
June 28, 1969 - April 4, 2023
Passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Ed’s House Hospice, at the age of 53.
He is the dearly loved son of Judy & Jim Hammond.
He was predeceased by Kiwi and Fergie his wonderful, loving and loyal black pugs.
He lived with his long time companion and love Jessie Good.
Kevin was also predeceased by his uncle Dave and uncle Steve.
Family left to mourn are Debbie (Dave’s wife), uncle Mike and aunt Chris, uncle Ted, aunt Marlene and uncle Carl, uncle Dennis and aunt Rosie, Kevin’s cousins Alisha, Mark (Sarah), Greg (Mandy), Cathy, Michelle (Rick), Terry, Brian, Shelly, Melanie, Keith and Shawn (Kellie).
Kevin’s Faith kept him strong throughout his life until Jesus took him home!
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 12-1 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on March 23, 2023 following a brief illness.
Ken enjoyed travelling, his winters in Florida and his rounds on the golf course but what he cherished most were the times spent with his family.
Beloved husband to Sandra Walker (late wife Irene Walker). Survived by his children Geoff (Cathy), Steve, Keith (Carla), granddaughters Jessi (Scott), Devon, Kandace (Jordan), Alexandra, great-granddaughters Piper and Paige and his many family members in England.
Ken made lasting impressions on everyone he met and will be greatly missed by all.

Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 after a long and valiant struggle with Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, at age 75.
Ken Rohrer of View Lake, beloved husband of Susan (nee Cantrell), for 53 years.
Loving father of Michelle Rohrer, and Jeffrey Rohrer and his husband Trung.
Ken was an electrician at General Motors until his retirement in 2006 and had a life-long passion for farming which filled his spare time.
Upon retirement, Ken enjoyed classic cars including his prized possession, a 1971 Chevelle convertible which he and Susan loved to share with others at local car shows.
Always ready to start a card game, he was an avid euchre and cribbage player.
In the winter Ken and Susan enjoyed traveling to Florida and in warmer weather he followed the Toronto Blue Jays.
Ken was well known for being an all-around handyman who liked the challenge of fixing anything mechanical.

Ken was a very talented waterfowl carver, and his skills will be admired forever in the works of art he created.
Ken was an enthusiastic supporter of his grandchildren’s many sporting events and instilled in them his love for nature and fishing.
The family would like to express their thank you and gratitude for the care Ken received from the oncology and palliative care doctors at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Kevork Maissian, 71, of Stouffville, Ontario, passed on March 13, 2023.
Kevork was born on November 04, 1951. He was a Husband, Father, Dede, Brother and an incredible Friend.
He leaves behind his wife Achkhen, his children Tamar, Taline and Gregory, his Sister Marie and his two little granddaughters Nina and Emma.
Kevork was our Hero, our light and will forever be in our memories.
