After a short battle with cancer, Scott Douglas Anderson passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa hospital on January 6th, 2024, with his wife Gloria and son Ian by his side.
Scott was an angel on this earth for 59 years and was called to heaven far too early.
Scott was survived by his wife of over 30 years, Gloria Anderson and his son Ian, as well as an abundance of extended family and ‘just like family’ friends.
His loved ones were the center of his universe, and we are all very humbled to have been a part of it.
Scott certainly was one of a kind. There was never a dull moment when he was in a room with his larger-than-life personality. He would scream someone’s name or break out in song and dance using his exceptional dance moves just because he wanted to.
His family and neighborhood will never be the same. He was our gentle giant, lover of the Toronto Maple Leaf’s and a friend to all. Garage door up meant he was open for business, whatever that may be! He will be greatly missed by all but will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held to honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
