Devoted and cherished mother to George, Barbara, Diane, Sharon, Paul, Courtney and Scott.

Beloved and proud grandmother to 22 wonderful grandchildren.

Loving and supportive great-grandmother to 19 amazing great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Enid, Delores, Janet and Precious.

Cherished sister-in-law to Frankie, Errol, Pat, Alicia, Mel and Cavel. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.

Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff that cared for Jean during her stay at Seven Oaks Long Term Care. Especially Christine, Jackie, Doreen and Melissa.

In her memory, donations to Operation Smile Canada would be very appreciated.

She was a God fearing, no filter straight forward bullet.

If she loved you you’d know it and if she didn’t, you would definitely know it. Even with her straightforwardness and tough love, her family was her everything.

She had a special love for each person in her family. We will never forget the impact she has made and the generations that started with her.

We are sad to announce that after a short battle with brain cancer, Ted passed away on March 27, 2023, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Ted was predeceased by his grandparents Aubrey and Ella Crouter of Oshawa, his parents Roger and Sylvia Crouter, and brother William (Bill) A. Crouter of Brooklin.

Those who knew Ted know he was a man of few words but had a kind and gentle heart.

Ester was born on February 2, 1951 to Teodulo and Severina Pahilan in Catarman, Camiguin, Philippines.

She moved to Toronto and joined her husband, Ignacio (Momoy) Vente Jr. to pursue the Canadian dream, and raise 3 handsome sons, Alfie, Ariel and Art Steven.

Ester was a faithful Christian. She was predeceased by her father, Teodulo, mother Severina Pahilan, brothers Teddy and Henry. She is survived by husband, Momoy, sons, Alfie, Ariel and Art Steven; her children in-law, Sandra, James and Amelia, and her extended family of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery (21 Garrard Road, Whitby) on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held the following day in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward Wilfred Jervis, on March 15, 2023, after a long battle with cancer, where he showed great intestinal fortitude.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Susan Jill; and his 3 children, Michael, Jeffrey (Shannon), and Lisa (David). He was also a proud grandfather of 5 including: Jasmin, Parker, Carsyn, Olivia and Madeline.

He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Hamilton Jervis and Dorothea Julia Jervis (nee Treadgold). Ed, Uncle Eddie, Dad, and Grandpa was a modest and humble man, the ultimate giver, who never put himself on centre stage, always thinking to support those around him first. He enjoyed a successful working career with two great organizations in Ford and Enbridge, where he was a dedicated and loyal employee for over 40 years.

Ed was fond of the game of hockey, which he played from a young boy until the age of 75, and always had an investigative and organized mind as he opened himself up to many passions including automotive mechanics, computer technology, history and many other interests.

However, his devotion to his family is what he will be most remembered by. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be a private graveside service for immediate family only at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY in Whitby, on March 23rd, at 2 p.m.

On Thursday, March 16, 2023 our beloved Edith Mae Vousden (nee: McCreight) passed away with family members by her side. Edith was born in Timmins Ontario to Thelma and Ernest McCreight was a sister to Sam, Bruce, Muriel, June and Alex and sister-in-law to Anne, Anne, Doug, George and Elizabeth.

Edith was lucky enough to have two wonderful men in her life, her first husband Hilary Vousden who died in 1978, and her beloved partner Colin Barrand who passed in 2020.

She was a devoted mother to Lucy, Tim, Tracy, Randy, Mary and Eric and mother-in-law to Suzy, Paul, Sharon, Tina, Paul and Ornella. She was step-mother to John, Kelly, Christine, Danny and Pat and step mother-in-law to Warren, Stephen and Dave.
Edith's great grand-daughter Sooji started calling Edith Super Grandma and I can't think of a better title for her.

She was a loving grandmother to, Terry, John Paul, Robert, Jenna, Geoffrey, Gaelan, Liam, Andrea, Adam, Jason, Nathanial, Mandy, Melissa, George, Dwight, Derek, Corey, William, Melissa and Luke and a great (super) grandmother to, Sooji, Jeeah, Lucy, Leah, Liv, Joshua, Jesse, Jaxon, Aubrey, Harrison, and Remi-Rose.

Edith was a kind and patient mother who could be tough when she needed to be. Her grandchildren don't believe that because to all of them she was their sweet and loving grandma.

Edith experienced loss and difficulties in her life all of which she handled with a courage, strength and grace that was truly an example to us all.

Edith's first priority was always her family and she will always be in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby where she spent the last 4 years of her life while struggling with Alzheimer's. The staff provided her with a loving and safe environment and for that we are truly grateful.

A celebration of life for Edith will be held on April 23rd, 2023 from 1:00-5:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Claremont.

During her life Elaine loved to travel, putter in her garden, and was a member of the Oshawa Little Theatre. Loved to ballroom dance with he favorite partner Bert, and was famous for her baking, especially her shortbread cookies.

The family wish to thank the team at Winbourne park for their love, support, and compassion while caring for Elaine, the family’s matriarch.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
