The family of the late Boots McKee, beloved wife of the late William R. McKee, announce her peaceful passing at True Davidson Acres on Monday, September 4, 2023.
She was the dear sister of June Graham (Alex), Patricia Germaine (Mel), and the late John (Ethel), Matthew (Bunty), Emily, David (Margaret) and Elsie Rotz (Gordon).
She was the very proud and loving aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt of many nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by all of them.
A special thank you to all the staff at True Davidson Acres for their kind care of Arbutus for the last 12 ½ years.
Mrs. McKee will be resting at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 12 noon followed immediately by a funeral service in the Chapel at 12 noon. Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery.

Passed away while surrounded by family at Sunnybrook Hospital on August 31st at 2:45pm.
She fought a long courageous 40+ year battle with cancer.
Despite the challenges before her, she lived each day to the fullest.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert LeBlanc, to whom she was married to for 64 years, her 3 children Susan, (Brian), David (Mary) and Carol (Brett), her 14 grandchildren, great granddaughter and her sister Linda.
Annette graduated from the University of Ottawa Teachers College at a young age.
She taught with the Durham Catholic District School Board where she found her calling working with children. Annette retired in 1995 with 32 years of service.
Annette's life revolved around spending time with family, friends, going to the cottage, shopping, baking, sewing, gardening and playing cards.
Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa on Friday September 6th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 9th at Paroisse Assomption de Notre Dame Church in Oshawa at 12:00pm. Burial will follow with a celebration of life in her home town of Penetanguishene at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre in Oshawa, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
April 23, 1931 – August 30, 2023
Alma passed away after a short battle with cancer at the age of 92 with her loving family by her side.
Alma was the beloved wife for 56 years to the late James McDougall.
Cherished mother of Peter predeceased (Karen), Michael (Corrie) Edward (Rhonda) James (Susan) Robert (Janique) John (David).
Grandmother of 14, Great Grandmother 16.
Alma graduated nursing school in Lindsay in 1952 and enjoyed her career of 29 years at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton.
After retirement Alma enjoyed many winters in Florida.
Visitation will be held at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton, on Tuesday September 5th from 11a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1p.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Beaverton.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

39, of Toronto, passed away on August 20, 2023.
Beloved husband of Vicky Jeung, devoted father to Ava Rose and his loyal Australian Sheppard Loki, and dedicated uncle to Madison.
Cherished son of Doug and Frances Thompson, son-in-law of Edward and Muoi Tuang Jeung, and brother-in-law to Erica Jeung.
Sadly predeceased by his sister Ruth Ann Thompson.
Adam proudly served the residents of Durham and York Regions as a paramedic for many years.
He is greatly missed by innumerable family, friends and colleagues.
Adam will be remembered for his humour and compassion, and for his gregarious manner.

Althea passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, August 20th, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at 86 years of age.
Predeceased by her husband Ross of 57 yrs marriage.
Proud mother of Lynda, Alan, Bill and Dianne.
Devoted Grandma to 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Caring sister to Lois, Marion and Gloria.
Althea was predeceased by her brother Donald and her grand-daughter Janeen. She will be greatly missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Althea worked for the CIBC for several years. Together with Ross and family, owned and operated Pickering Marine.

WWII Veteran S/Sgt RCOC Alf passed away peacefully surrounded by many of his immediate family at his bedside.
Born in Oshawa on August 6, 1921 to parents Edith (Stone) and Edward Brisebois.
Predeceased by brothers Edward, Kenneth and Jack, sister Irene (Eadie) Thompson and grandson Billie.
Alf met his future wife Nancy while both were serving in the army during WWII.
She was a corporal in the C.W.A.C., and he was a N.C.O. in the Canadian Ordinance Corps.
They were blessed with 3 children Karen (Bill), Billy and Tom, 6 grandchildren Dylan, Mathew, Katy, Adam, Noah, Sara and 5 great grandchildren Zoe, Renee, Daphne, Tia and Avery.
He was beloved Uncle Alf to many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a caring brother-in-law to Barb. Sadly, Nancy passed away on June 23rd, 2018 at age 94.
In his younger years, Alf was very active in the community having served as Chairman of the Oshawa Board of Parks Management, Chairman of the Oshawa Senior Citizens Housing Committee and a longtime member of the Board of Oshawa Hostel Services.
He was a Founding Member of the Oshawa Legion Minor Baseball Association and served on the Board of Governor for the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame.
Alf was a 75 year member of the Legion, and served as Business Manager of Branch 43 for over 20 years. He received many honours as a Legion member. He was awarded a Life Member and was a recipient of the Legion’s highest honour The Legion Meritorious Medal and Palm Leaf.
“Alfies Lounge” a room in Branch 43 was named in his honour in 2019. Alf also served as District “F” Commander and Ontario Command Poppy Chairman.
He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Blue Jays. In his younger days he curled, played snooker and horseshoes winning several championships along the way. A special thanks to all the health care providers at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital who provided exceptional care and compassion in his final days.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday August 30 from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m.

In loving memory of our father, Albert, Wormald, who peacefully passed away in his sleep on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the age of 93.
He was the devoted husband of Catherine Wormald for 70 years and loving father of Brian (Shari) and Barry (Michelle).
Predeceased by his daughter, Karen, and brothers, Bruce and Clifford, and sister, Ann.
He is survived by his sister, Audrey.
He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Danielle (Eric), Eric, Indianna (Joshua), Hunter and Gabrielle and nieces Lynn and Sharon and nephews Stephen (Lisa), Stewart and Robert.
Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work, and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He spent a lifetime working in the construction industry.
His work could be found in commercial centres, coast to coast, and in the work of the many industry leaders that he mentored. In his younger years, he enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and travelling.
He will be greatly missed.
There will be a private interment at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY on Friday, August 18th at 10 AM.
Donations may be made to The Salvation Army in his memory.
