Doreen Mitcham passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023, in her 97th year.
Predeceased by her husband Arthur Gordon Mitcham.
Beloved mother to 4 children, she will be forever missed by her son Paul (Jane), and daughters Gayle, Eve (Mark) and Lisa (Gary).
Loving grandmother to Matthew (Sarah), Alex (Gabby), Catherine (Branden) and Alysia and great grandmother to Tessa, Kamryn and Mylo.
She had a giving heart, great sense of humour and a soft spot for her pets. All who knew her were blessed and she will be missed.
Funeral service to be held at McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax on Saturday April 15th with visitation at 10 am, followed by a service at 11am and a short reception afterwards.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society of Durham Region in lieu of flowers.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andrew Joseph McGill, on April 9th, 2023 at the age of 38.
He was surrounded by his loving mother, sister, family and his beloved fiancée.
Andrew was born on May 4, 1984 and was the first child of Susan McGill and was the loving stepson of Peter McGill.
Andrew will be deeply missed by his devoted mother, Susan, his adoring sister Katie (Steffan), the McGill stepbrothers, Blair (Nadine), Brent, Brian (Kim), his aunt and her husband Deb and Adrian and their children Andrew’s dear cousins, Jessica (Luke) and Sarah (Frank), his many other caring aunts, uncles and cousins of special note is Bill Berg who will also feel this significant loss.
He his predeceased by his stepfather Peter McGill, Aunt Joanne Marshall, his grandmothers Helen Tyrrell and Shirley McGill.
Andrew was sensitive, thoughtful beyond words, gentle and respectful of everyone. He was always eager to help anyone and his smile could light up a room. He was an amazing son, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be forever loved and missed.
Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.

Arthur Jacobs born June 30, 1931, in Toronto, Ontario; passed on the morning of March 28, 2023, at 9:40 am., while being tenderly cared for, at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry Ontario.
Arthur loved and served Jehovah God faithfully to the end of his life.
His favourite bible scripture was in Revelation 21:4 it reads,
"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more,
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away."
We are looking forward to seeing Arthur Jacobs in Paradise.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arthur Ernest Thorpe.
Devoted husband to Sharon Jane Thorpe (Colbert).
Dear father of Neil Thorpe and Leslie Thorpe. Caring brother to Gerry Thorpe (Anne).
Cherished grandfather of Tegan, Rory, Brodie, Aiden, Taylor and Dylan.
Art will always be known for his kind heart, his humour, warm personality and big smile. Art will also be greatly missed by many relatives and friends.
Art spent 40 successful years in the insurance business in Toronto.
Art was very active in many sports over the years including golfing, biking, skiing, and scuba diving as well as travelling with Sharon.

At Arts request there will be no funeral. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Sawtell, of Oshawa, Ontario.
Al was born on February 17th, 1948, in Kitchener, ON to parents Lyla Allen and Digby Roland Sawtell and late brother John, who could make him, laugh like no other.
Al was a lifelong educator, teaching and working in school administration positions in Scarborough and Durham Region for his whole career.
He was a beloved teacher, administrator, and colleague to many.
Al was a member and past president of the PROBUS Club of Oshawa, roles which he loved. He was an avid fisherman, quick with a joke, and loved to laugh and enjoy life. He truly valued the time he spent at the family cottage with his family and friends, and always took pride in a successful “catch” on the water.
Al held his many friends in Oshawa and surrounding areas in high regard. Most importantly, he was a dedicated, caring, and beloved husband, father, and grandfather whose unwavering support allowed his family to become who they are.
Al is survived by his two children, Lisa (Shane, Son-in-Law) and Paul (Grace, Daughter-in-Law), his four grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Oscar and Lily, and wife Lynne, his partner of over 50 years and with whom he will forever be “one” with.
He also leaves behind his two pups, Canada and Babe, who have lovingly taken his spot on the bed. Al will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to thank Marianna and the rest of the team at Lakeridge’s Cancer Centre, for their unwavering support. There will be a celebration of life in May of 2023, and the date and location are to be determined.

Peacefully passed away at the Oak Ridges Hospice, on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the age of 67.
Anneliese was the loving daughter of Annemarie (the late Heinz), and will be loved and remembered always by her brothers Karl (Mary) and Peter (Sandy).
She was the cherished aunt of Robert, Katie and Joe.
Anneliese was predeceased by her husband Fred Williams; and is survived by her step-children David Williams and Rita Miskimin.
The family wishes to thank the Staff of Oak Ridges Hospice for the care and compassion that they have provided during this time.
As per Anneliese’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
