With deep sorrow, Suzanne’s family and friends announce her passing in Brooklin Ontario.
Suzanne was the wife of the late Bryan Howard, and adoring ‘mother’ of their golden Labrador Murphy, and pampered cats Ginger and Princess.
She was born in Toronto, the daughter of the late Doris and Lewis Vipond.
She is survived by her sisters Nancy (John) Knight, Gail (the late Wayne Degan) Shell, Mary (John) Morris.
Susan and Bryan were the proud god-parents or their nephew Stephen (Lisa) Howard’s twin daughters, Brittany and Casey. She is also fondly remembered by extended family and many friends.
Suzanne met Bryan while working at IBM, and their most enjoyable years together were spent at their cottage in the Kawartha Lakes, and at their home in a retirement community in New Hamburg Ontario.
Suzanne also had a long and rewarding business career, holding a variety of positions with a number of companies.
She was a vibrant, thoughtful person, and many people she met during her working life found in her a wise and trusted friend. She had numerous friendships that lasted over many decades.
In later years Suzanne was seriously affected by the after-effects of a stroke. But she never gave up her struggle to overcome her disadvantages, and her efforts to maintain her dignity and independence. For all who knew her, she brought sparkle to their lives, and made their worlds a better place.
Special thanks to those who assisted her at the Court in Brooklin retirement residence.
Cremation has taken place through the BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOM in Brooklin, where a memorial notice is posted on line at barnesmemorial.ca.
Suzanne’s ashes will be interred at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto, where she will rest with her husband Bryan.
