It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Elizabeth Butler (McDonald) on December 19th, 2021 in her 92nd year.

She will be greatly missed by her children Stephen Butler (Kathi) and Ann-Marie Gould (Kevin) and her grandchildren Andrew, Laura, Corinne, Sarah and Sadie as well as her brother Donald (Carol).

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Edward Butler and her daughter Karen Blyth, her grandson Patrick and her siblings Donna, Marcella and John.

Mom loved music, loved to dance and growing up we loved the fact she was an excellent baker.

She had a sarcastic wit and we would spend hours laughing and drinking endless cups of tea. She always had stories to tell and you could rarely walk by her without her insisting on a hug.

Thank you to the staff at Thorntonview Nursing Home for the years of care they provided for her with kindness and understanding. No service will be held as per Mom’s wishes.

The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop,
On what day—or what hour.

Now is the only time you have,
So live it with a will.
Don't wait until tomorrow—
The hands may then be still.
